New Year's resolutions can be a bit overwhelming, but it's okay to start small. Keeping your home clean and free of dirt and clutter is an excellent place to start. Clean & organize your drawers and cabinets!
The depths of drawers and cabinets can be easy to ignore. Empty out everything and wipe out collected dust and dirt. As you put things back in, sort through what you need to keep and what you can let go of.
Tip Number One
Dust your ceilings and fans.
When you're not using your ceiling fans, air stagnates, and it's easier for the dust to collect on your fans and ceilings. Dust all those hard-to-reach places with a microfiber duster.
Tip Number Two
Wash or replace your shower curtains.
Shower curtains trap humid air and moisture; make sure to check for any possible mildew or mold growth. It's essential to wash them regularly or start the year out with new ones!

Wash drapes & curtains!
Dirt and dust quickly gather on drapes and curtains! To start the year clean, give them a wash. Make sure to follow the manufacturer's directions for the best wash.

Sweep or vacuum underneath large furniture!
Make sure to clean all the hard-to-reach places by moving furniture and sweeping or vacuuming. Remove all dirt and dust bunnies for the year prior!

Clean the garbage disposal.
After lots of food from the holidays, it's a good idea to remove all smells from the previous - clean your garbage disposal with lemon and baking soda.

Wash out your trash cans.
After the holidays, it's a must to start off the new year with clean trash cans. Wash them with hot water and mild dish soap to get them fresh!

Clean your area rugs!
