Born in Glastonbury, Connecticut, Wayne Carini is a master car restorer and TV personality, best known for his “Chasing Classic Cars” TV series, where he takes viewers on his personal mission to uncover the world’s rarest and most exotic cars.
Inspired by his parents, who owned a successful vehicle restoration business, Wayne often spent his leisure time traveling to automotive shows. He eventually purchased the business from his father.
Wayne has become the spokesperson for Stanley Black & Decker’s Abilities Employee Resource Group. He played a key role in the STANLEY "Quiet Race" initiative in July 2019, helping to raise awareness of neurodiversity and career opportunities for people with autism.
Our main partner at Barrett-Jackson Auction events, in 2018 Wayne was asked by Stanley Black & Decker to select a vehicle that would be restored and auctioned at Barrett-Jackson to generate funds for a new emergency response vehicle for the American Red Cross in Connecticut. The 1970 Chevrolet C10 Pickup raised an incredible $35,000.
Earlier this year, CRAFTSMAN social media followers had the opportunity to participate in “The Dream Bid” Sweepstakes, offering a trip to the Barrett-Jackson Northeast Auction plus a chance to meet Wayne, who helped the prize winner to pick their ultimate dream car.
