Who is your biggest business idol?
book / movie that had the biggest impact on you?
If there was a movie about my life, I would think that Ryan Reynolds would play me in the film. I love his style of sarcastic comedy he provides in his films. Ryan Reynolds does a great job providing comedy in actions movies through these sarcastic comments. He also acts this way in person through social media and at events by making funny comments, and post on social media, and purposely being sarcastic. I relate to this by enjoying his movies and find myself being sarcastic to bring humor to certain situations.
One of my biggest businesses idols is one of my dad’s and my close friends, Scott Taylor. Scott is the president and CEO of Carter Real Estate based out of Atlanta Georgia. Scott has always been very close with me and my dad and has been there to help me through life. Scott is the president and CEO of Carter and has worked very hard to get to where he is. He has been able to be very successful and self-driven on his journey in Real Estate. Following him from a far I have been blessed to see the work it takes to make it in the Real Estate world that I wish to pursue after college.
The book “Make Your Bed,” by Admiral William H. McRaven. This book talks about the life experiences that Admiral William faced when during Navy Seal training. He shares with you the ten principals that he created and made into an everyday habit of his life that helped him get through Seal training. Not only do these habits help him in training, but also throughout life challenges. I found this book very interesting, and I have implemented some of these ten principals into my daily routine to help and guide myself through daily challenges I face.

I feel like young Miley Cyrus would play me in a movie about my life. Many of my friends have told me that I look like Miley Cyrus in her “Hannah Montana” phase, so it would be fitting for her to play me. I don’t really see the resemblance though.
Something most people wouldn’t guess about me is that I used to clog in middle school. Honestly, it’s kind of embarrassing to think about, so I try to block it out of my memory.
The book that has had the biggest impact on me is “The Happiness Advantage” by Shawn Anchor. This book is really informative and has helped me figure out more ways to stay optimistic in my professional and personal life. I recommend it!

Something that people wouldn’t guess about me is that I love to hunt and fish, and that I am an Eagle Scout.
My biggest business idol would likely be Warren Buffett, as he loves to preach about working both hard and working smart. Investing money in the right places could be the difference-maker in being very successful or very unsuccessful in life.

If there were a movie about my life, Christian Bale would play me because he is in many of my favorite movies.
The movie that has had the biggest impact on me is Moneyball starring Brad Pitt. I’ve watched Moneyball upwards of 50 times because it’s pre-downloaded on my computer. It has become my go-to on planes and road trips and is always my answer when someone asks what my favorite movie is.
People who don’t know me probably wouldn’t guess that I grew up in Connecticut because my personality and interests were shaped by my family’s Texas roots.

I would have Vince Vaughn play my life. Even though we look absolutely nothing alike, he always has an answer for anything and makes a joke out of it. I think that’s something I can definitely relate to.
A book that has had the greatest influence on me is “Wild at Heart” by John Eldredge.
My business idol is Richard Branson. He has found a way to do and succeed at whatever his heart desires.

what songs would bE the soundtrack to your life?
This is a tough one, but I have to go with Bradley Cooper. Bradley Cooper is one of the most dynamic actors out there and can perform well in every genre. Few actors can better capture the highs and lows of a biopic, just look at Cooper’s performance in American Sniper.
A soundtrack to my life has to include “Astrovan” by Mt. Joy for every morning scene. You have to get the day started with something light and uplifting. Scenes in the afternoon should include more rhythmic, jam band type music. Maybe the Futurebirds album Teamwork would be a good fit. Finally, evening and night scenes have to have EDM, and anything from DJs like Calvin Harris, Meduza, or Loud Luxury would be perfect.
Something that people would not guess about me is that my high school basketball career ended in the 10th grade when I decided to focus on track and field. Contrary to popular belief I never touched the Varsity hardwood, but our track team went on to compete for a state championship and I was the captain of the team my senior year so it wasn’t all bad!

If there were a movie about my life, I would have Jennifer Aniston play me. I think she is an amazing actress and seems like a wonderful person. Her ability to successfully perform in any type of role makes her the perfect actress to play me in a movie.
Something that people wouldn’t guess about me is that I am a huge Washington Football Team/Washington Commanders fan! My dad is from the East Coast, and despite growing up in Wisconsin with Packers fans surrounding me, I am wholeheartedly a Washington Commanders fan. I love watching NFL football on Sundays with family and friends!
The movie that had the biggest impact on me was “The Sound of Music”. It has been my favorite movie since I was five years old. I am studying in Italy this semester, and I have the opportunity to go on The Sound of Music tour with my parents in a few weeks! I love the movie, and I cannot wait to see Salzburg, Austria where it was filmed.

I think that Dave Franco would do a pretty good job. I think it would be important to have an actor that can make people laugh and I always seem to enjoy movies with him.
I would say that Anthony Bourdain’s Kitchen Confidential was very impactful to me. He was a personal hero of mine and I found his ability to learn through experiences with different people all over the world and different walks of life to be inspiring.
My biggest business idol is Mark Cuban. I find his ability to be successful in business ventures across different industries to be fascinating, and it is also awesome to see someone from my university achieve that level of success.

One thing that surprises most people is how big of a geek about everything ocean related I can be. I love everything from ocean fishing to scuba diving and even marine biology. Anytime I get a chance to make it out to the water I want to either throw a line in or jump in!
It was probably after the 5th time watching it without getting bored that I noticed that The Big Short has had a big impact on me. It is a fan favorite amongst my brother’s and I, and I could almost credit it with introducing me to the world of finance and real estate. To this day I love sitting friends down and forcing them to watch it with me.
The most impactful business figure in my life is probably my father. He has really served as a model businessman for me and my brothers and is accredited with instilling the entrepreneurial flare within me. Not only has he taught me the importance of hard work and balance, but he has also helped me find value in everything I do regardless of it being a menial or crucial task.

“Mammas Don’t Let Your Babies Grow Up to Be Cowboys” – Waylon Jennings & Willie Nelson I find this song meaningful since all my life I have grown up on a ranch and now I am working in a high-rise building in Downtown Dallas.
The movie “The Blind Side” has had the biggest impact on me. Based on a true story, the ability to change a person’s entire future by just giving them an opportunity speaks volumes to me.

Many people have heard the song Wide Open Spaces by the Dixie Chicks, however, I first heard it from a singer/songwriter whose name is Susan Gibson. She is the writer of the song and sold it to the Dixie Chicks later on. Susan Gibson’s version of the song would be the headliner on my soundtrack followed by Everything Has Changed, and lastly, Old Time Rock & Roll.
A fun fact about me that people don’t usually guess is that I have been playing guitar for more than half of my life now.
Do Hard Things: A Teenage Rebellion Against Low Expectations by Alex and Brett Harris. This book taught me how to become a self-starter. It also showed me how to create goals, work to obtain them, and influence others to do the same.

Shoe Dog by Phil Knight. It really demonstrated to me how difficult it is to succeed in business and that the only way to do so is by pursuing what you are passionate about.
Satya Nadella, current Chairman/CEO of Microsoft. I think what he has accomplished at Microsoft (especially when compared with his immediate predecessor, Steve Ballmer) demonstrates how important leadership is to business success, and how even the largest organizations can make changes to their cultures to set themselves up to thrive in the future.

Suppose my options were limitless, Audrey Hepburn! I have always admired her poise and elegance.
Any popular song from the 70s, but my top favorites are Silly Love Songs by Paul McCartney and My Sharona by The Knack (my grandma dedicated this song to me).
I am a horrible dancer!
The Pursuit of Happiness with Will Smith. I love movies with themes of survival, determination, and never giving up on your dreams.
My grandpa, Joe Tidwell. He started a successful roofing and sheet metal business. My grandpa always taught me that I could be anything I wanted to be as long as I worked hard and put my mind to it.
I think if there was a movie about my life I would be played by Jennifer Lawrence, because I feel like she shares my day-to-day balance of chaos and composure!
I absolutely love music, so only choosing a few songs for a soundtrack of my life was tricky. This being said, I think Monte Carlo by Remi Wolf, Serotonin by Courtney Govan, and Texas Sun by Leon Bridges would be the first three songs on the soundtrack of my life. When listening to music, I look for songs that put me in a good mood and these three songs are my go-to when I need a little serotonin boost.
Something I think people wouldn’t guess about me is that I do gymnastics. I have done gymnastics ever since I can remember and I think I have it to thank for the way that I am today. I’m not sure if it’s my height or maybe I don’t look very strong, but people always seem surprised when they hear that I am a part of the club gymnastics team at TCU!

Robert Downey Jr. would play me because he was someone that came from nothing. He went through various barriers in his life and ultimately prevailed. All and all, he came out on top as he is now known as one of Hollywood’s top actors. I relate to this given that I am a first-generation college student that was raised by a single mom and am now working extremely hard in and outside of school to hopefully come out on top!
I would have the songs: Life is a Highway by Rascal Flatts, Heartbreaker by Pat Benatar, and Time of Our Lives by Pitbull and Ne-Yo.
Something many people would not guess about me is that the first concert I ever went to was Hannah Montana or that I lived in Washington State for a year!

Music is one of my biggest passions, so I will not be able to list all the songs I would wish to be on the soundtrack of my life. However, here are a few I feel fit best: Vienna by Billy Joel, Wish You Were Here by Pink Floyd, The Man Comes Around by Johnny Cash, and Here for a Good Time by George Strait. In choosing these songs, I decided to pick the ones I feel have the most meaning to me through their lyrics and meanings.
One book that has had a significant impact on me is Jordan Peterson’s 12 Rules for Life. This book has taught me about the struggles and failures of life and how best to deal with the adverse conditions we live in. It allowed me to see the existence of chaos in our world and recognize the many paths within that chaos we can choose to lead an extraordinary life!
My biggest business idol would have to be my dad, John Wisenbaker. Throughout his life, my dad has always had an entrepreneurial mind that has driven him to become very successful in his work. However, his success is not what causes him to be my business idol; his profound leadership skills make me aspire to one day be the same. He understands the importance of valuing every employee in a company, helping others reach their full potential through encouragement and criticism alike, and exemplifying what it truly means to lead by example. This might be cliché, but I hope to one day be half of the businessperson that my father is.

If there were a movie about my life, Scarlett Johansson would play me. First and foremost, she has starred in the Avenger movies, in which she plays a hardcore, determined superhero. Additionally, in other movies she plays a great role as a friend and a lighthearted, funny character.
Songs that would be on the soundtrack to my life are anything created by the Beach Boys. I grew up listening to their songs any second I could, constantly singing them in my head, imagining, and pretending my life was like theirs. A simple, laid back, happy, sunny life at the beach. Surfboard in hand, sand in my toes, salt in my hair, and the beautiful blue waves crashing in front of me.
Something people would not guess about me is that I have my first-degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do and that I have recently completed an ultra-marathon with an eight-minute pace.

I would want a younger Will Ferrell to play me in a movie about myself. I don’t like to take myself too seriously so I would need the movie about myself to be a comedy of some sort.
Kings of the Summer by ayokay and Quinn XCII, Feathered Indians by Tyler Childers, and Panama by Van Halen. All of these are some of my favorite songs and were a part of my most listened to in 2021.
I don’t think people would guess that I enjoy reading thriller and horror novels. I’m currently reading The Girl Who Played with Fire and I also really enjoy Steven King books.
If there was a movie made about my life I think the best actor to portray myself would be Matt Damon. He is one of my favorite actors and is in some of my favorite movies. We also have relatively similar stature. I was having trouble thinking of who to pick for this question, so I asked my parents and a couple of friends. Five of the six people I asked all said Matt Damon as well.
The first song that would be on the soundtrack to my life would be “Take Me to Texas” by George Strait. This song is an obvious number one because I have always lived in Texas my whole life and love everything about it. My second song would be “Mamma Song” by Cody Jinks because of the love and support that my parents always provide me. The song is primarily about support from the artist’s mother, but it applies to both of my parents and how helpful and supportive they have been my whole life. Finally my third song would be “Don’t Stop Believing” by Journey. This song represents my love for The University of Texas and an important memory that finally made me decide that I wanted to attend UT.
The movie that had the biggest impact on my life would probably be “Avengers: Endgame.” This voice had the biggest impact on my life because ever since I was a kid my dad has been taking everybody in my family to every Marvel movie that ever comes out. My dad, brother, sister and myself all love them, but my mom just goes to tag along. This movie has impacted me so much because of all of the great memories I have had with my family going to the theaters or rewatching the movies on a Sunday afternoon sitting on the couch. This movie also just so happened to be considered one of the best movies of my generation which was obviously a large reason why I chose it.
