“Law school has been an opportunity to discover how my love of the law can help anchor my passion to help marginalized communities. Not only have my courses broadened my understanding of how law affects our everyday lives, but they have also helped me acquire the tools I need to be a strong advocate outside of the classroom. And perhaps most importantly, this journey has empowered me to become the zealous representative I always wanted to be. I am already more confident and better prepared to serve the people of the Commonwealth.”
“Already knowing Suffolk’s dynamic and supportive community as an alumnus, I enrolled in the Accelerated JD program and thought it was the perfect fit: I could work full-time, go to school at night, and still have the typical three-year law school experience without having a gap in my resume. Being an evening student can present its own challenges—especially when it comes to finding time to get involved—but you are not prevented from doing so. I personally became President of OUTLaws, Suffolk Law’s LGBTQIA+ student organization!"
“Law school is comparable to finding your way to the end of a maze or putting the last piece into a puzzle. It requires perseverance to see it through to the end, and despite the inevitable challenges that arise, it is one of the greatest accomplishments of your life. People choose to go to law school for many different reasons. For me, I have gained confidence, friendships, and a toolbox of intellectual and emotional skills. No matter the destination, the journey of law school teaches you more about yourself than you ever knew possible.”
