"Suffolk has helped me in more ways than I could explain. The courses were always interesting, complex, and inclusive, and I never felt like I didn’t have resources available. Suffolk felt and still feels like home. I knew I was falling back on a community that supported me and knew me as a person and as a student. Suffolk helped me accept myself as a queer person in a way that allows me to do the work I do, and study queer policy and liberation and make change that comes from my core."
"At Suffolk, I've had two significant internships. The first was with Vivint Smart Home, where I attended a sales boot camp. This experience sharpened my professional skills, especially in sales, communication, and strategy. My second internship was at the Massachusetts State House, where I worked for State Representative Shirley Arriaga as a legislative intern. This role gave me a real-world look into politics and lawmaking, aligning with my potential career interests."
"The PPE program was completely unique to Suffolk and not available in any of my other university choices. After I had fallen in love with a philosophy seminar, I took a leap of faith and switched my major from international relations to PPE. Now, I can wholeheartedly say it was the best decision I’ve ever made. My future career goal is to promote better public education for American citizens. I’m pursuing a JD to become more knowledgeable about the change I hope to someday propel in the U.S. education system."
