“In the Suffolk Philosophical Society, we could discuss ideas, read primary texts, and become better philosophers. The weekly meetings with other students who were just as passionate and curious as me was an invigorating experience. I came to college knowing generally what I wanted to do, and Suffolk provided me the resources to fine-tune the way forward. I know that I want to continue studying philosophy and eventually get my PhD. "

Maryam Mosadeghirad, BS ’23

“Suffolk was the right choice for me because of the wide selection of academic offerings. Also, the location of the campus is fantastic for experiencing Boston and making friends and connections. The philosophy department was very supportive and encouraging of my interests. They were always happy to help if I needed further research materials or clarifications in the interpretation of difficult texts."

My future career ambitions are to attend law school, continue studying philosophy, and eventually go into entrepreneurship. I am confident the unique, well-rounded education Suffolk has given me will help me achieve these goals."

“Dr. Link is an incredible and supportive mentor who always makes himself available to his students. His classes have been exceptionally rewarding, and he is invested in his students' academic and personal development. As a major, philosophy gives students a fundamental understanding of a multitude of topics. My hope is to utilize that knowledge to pursue a law degree or PhD in philosophy."
