Look out, Don Draper: There’s a new agency in town. It’s Suffolk in the Hub, an integrated marketing agency staffed by more than 35 students from across the Sawyer Business School. It launched late last year and already has a growing list of clients.
Like Suffolk’s Studio 73, where students report on-air for New England Cable News, Suffolk in the Hub gives students a chance to use their classroom skills in real time. Students serve in agency-style roles, such as account director, marketing coordinator, content creator, and more, delivering high-quality, pro bono marketing solutions to startup clients, with a fee-based model now in the works.“
In advertising, we want students who are doers and really want to dig in,” says Andrew Graff, MBA ’93, chief executive officer at Allen & Gerritsen, a Boston-based integrated ad agency. “The practical experience Suffolk in the Hub will give these students is going to make them more valuable and help them get a job faster.”
