Mission Driven
You won’t find their names on championship banners. Yet they are some of Suffolk’s most important record holders: loyal donors who give back to the University on a yearly basis, often for decades. As of 2024, there were hundreds and hundreds of donors who’ve given every year for ten or more years, and their contributions over time add up to almost $11.7 million—supporting scholarships, academic and extracurricular programs, and the University’s Suffolk Fund. Of that select group, a dozen donors have given for more than 40 consecutive years, with some nearing the half-century mark. Many give because someone gave to them, making their education—and often their success in life—possible. Others give because they’ve seen the power of the Suffolk community in action, and they want to support the many ways it advances access and opportunity. Here, we talk with six longtime donors about their Suffolk stories and what they get out of giving back.
