Lisle Baker will receive the American Association of Law Schools (AALS) Balance and Well-Being Section Award at the organization’s annual meeting in January. The award recognizes individuals who have made outstanding contributions to promoting well-being in legal education through innovative programming, scholarship, and service to the legal community.
Stephen Cody was named an American Bar Foundation (ABF) Fellow. The ABF Fellows are a global honorary society of attorneys, judges, law faculty, and legal scholars whose public and private careers have demonstrated outstanding dedication to the highest principles of the legal profession.
Adam Eckart, JD ’11, received the Law School’s Kindregan Scholarship Award, which recognizes outstanding faculty achievements in research and scholarship. The award is given in honor of the memory of Professor Charley Kindregan (1935–2016), an iconic figure and prominent scholar at Suffolk Law.
Steven Ferrey was chosen as chair-elect of the AALS Section on Community Economic Development, and will serve as chair in 2026. He will also serve on the Executive Committee of the AALS Section on Natural Resources & Energy Law.
Renée M. Landers was inducted into the 2025 Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly Hall of Fame. The honor recognized her contributions to health law and social justice. Faculty director of Suffolk Law’s Health and Biomedical Law concentration, Landers is a past chair of the ABA Administrative Law and Regulatory Practice Section, serves as a trustee of Massachusetts General Hospital, and previously led the National Academy of Social Insurance.
Darrell Mottley was named to the IAM Patent 1000/World’s Leading Patent Professionals 2025 and designated a national IP Star in design law by Managing IP.
Bernard Ortwein, JD ’72 (Emeritus), received Suffolk’s Heritage Award for extraordinary contributions to the Law School.
Marc Rodwin was appointed to the board of editors of The Journal of Law, Medicine & Ethics.
Elizabeth Stillman received the Creating the Dream Award, which recognizes Suffolk students, faculty, and staff who have been instrumental in positively impacting diverse communities on campus.
