“Without a doubt the most important piece of my time at Suffolk was my honors capstone project, a thesis which included a research paper and creating my own digital and in-person exhibit. This project pushed me to my limits, but my thesis advisor supported me through the whole process, encouraging me to network with other museums and archives and learn new software. My thesis got me my current position, as I was able to use it as proof of my skills.”

“You can’t beat living and going to school on the Freedom Trail and having easy access to so many great museums. Having been exposed to the public history happening all around me was a critical part of my education. I took Public History in Practice, which taught me how to think like a public historian and set me up for success. Another influential course was Monumental Women: Female Public Space—that course fundamentally changed the way I think about memory and public commemoration.”
