I want to find ways to become a better advocate for people, specifically people of color, who have been affected by our justice system. While people look to the system as fair and equal, others have a very different experience with it and are impacted negatively. By connecting with people and using the information and knowledge I have available to me, I can hopefully find a way to make changes within the system that’ll make it less harmful to those who look like me.”
