Professor Gebo specializes in working with communities to help prevent violence and understanding how we can best promote youth development and carry out youth justice. Her current research focuses on the possibilities of criminal justice and public health partnerships for violence prevention and is conducted in collaboration with communities.

Professor, Sociology & Criminal Justice

Professor Monteiro specializes in race, ethnicity, and educational access, particularly as those interact to produce disparate outcomes across the criminal justice system and within corrections specifically. His research is centered on corrections and reentry with targeted investigations on deportations and other collateral consequences of criminal convictions.
