Hi my name is Brian, and I'm glad you stopped by.
Thanks for checking out my Self-Funding resources page! I’m proud to have been with Sun Life since 2006 and working as the Stop Loss Specialist in Northern California since 2014. Sun Life is the largest direct writer of stop loss in the US and we take pride in our thought leadership and innovation within our industry. One of my favorite parts of being a Stop Loss Specialist is sharing my knowledge and helping others better understand what a great tool self funding can be. If you have ever seen me present a CE course you already know that my biggest goal is to be a resource for the partners that I work with and this page is an extension of that. On a personal note, I have grown up and lived in Northern California most of my life and I love the variety of unique areas our state has to offer. I graduated from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo and have been with Sun Life for my entire career. I live in the small town of Winters with my wife and 6 year old daughter. We stay busy with lots of family time together, outdoor activities and taking care of our small walnut orchard. I enjoy cooking for family and friends, traveling with my family whenever we can, college football and most other sports and really anything I can do outside, from all types of home improvement projects, to hiking or trail rides around the Tahoe area, to flying kites or riding bikes with my daughter.
