For the 2023 TD Ready Challenge, TD invited non-profit and charitable organizations to submit proposals for solutions that could address systemic barriers to affordable and stable housing and help increase access for those who need it most.
We know that housing costs are at an all-time high in Canada. The need for affordable housing in Winnipeg for Indigenous communities, in particular, is growing at a very rapid pace. That’s where Raising the Roof comes in.

Raising the Roof says it is driving positive impacts in communities through offering paid training opportunities to people at risk of homelessness while increasing the supply of affordable housing through renovating vacant and underused spaces into new, affordable units.
