The history of Lunar New Year at TD

The Lunar New Year gala is an annual event for employees that showcases the Bank’s support of Chinese, Korean and Vietnamese communities, culture and heritage. It began in 1998 with just 10 employees in attendance and has grown to an expected 1,600 employees at the Toronto event this year, with six other celebrations set to be held in other locations across North America.

Guests dig into appetizers and a family-style dinner, while enjoying traditions like the Lion Dance and eye-dotting and lettuce ceremonies.
