I’m a huge homebody so I usually chill at home but on the rare occasions you find me out and about,
I love a good beach club or quiet bar with friends. Coastes has a super chill vibe and I love it on a weekday when it’s quiet so I can bring a book and have a drink!
What are your favourite spots to hang out with friends in Singapore?
Originally trained as a mechanical engineer, self-taught chef Lennard Yeong took an unconventional route into the realm of food after emerging as a finalist on the first season of MasterChef Asia. His recipes and kitchen experiments have amassed a following, and he is presently the resident-in-house chef at Miele Singapore.
You have many home cooking and cocktail recipes – what are some of your favourite cocktail recipes to conjure up at home?
These days I prefer eating seafood, which goes perfectly with a lighter cocktail like my favourite G&T. A pan-seared fish with a drizzle of lemon juice and olive oil, topped with a generous handful of chives and dill is exactly how I like it.
What food do you recommend pairing your favourite cocktail recipe with?
A Gin and Tonic made with ice-cold Schweppes Tonic Water. Schweppes adds an extra refreshing feeling to it! And it is so easy to make for anyone who comes visiting.
What is your favourite cocktail to order?
Schweppes Tonic Water
Could you give us your favourite drink recipe to make with Schweppes?
Gin & Tonic cocktail

I’m a big fan of yuzu, so instead of the classic lemon or lime, I’d love to add a slice of Japanese yuzu instead together with some OG Schweppes Tonic Water and Gin.
