“Our purpose is to protect, prepare and progress our clients for what comes next, and it’s essential that we do the same for our people, our planet and our communities.”

Planet
We’re minimising our adverse environmental impact, maximising our positive impact and reducing our greenhouse gas emissions to net zero – by setting hard targets, promoting sustainable choices and collaborating with like-minded businesses to tackle environmental issues.
BAME network
In 2021, our BAME network ran a series of events hosted by brave and motivated contributors on racism, allyship, conversation and equality. We had a fantastic turnout, with around half of all colleagues tuning into the live sessions or watching the recordings.

AffiniTLT – our affinity networks
We have made significant progress against our ED&I strategy and targets in the last year.
Our affinity networks are passionate and dedicated communities of people from across TLT, led by senior co-sponsors and committed to helping create a culture of respect. They create safe spaces for support, reflection and debate among under-represented groups and allies alike, and help bring issues to the management table that might not otherwise have been raised.

Volunteering
“We recognise that at all stages throughout their career, solicitors have the capacity to use their professional expertise to help those with legal needs and we will strive to encourage a commitment to pro bono throughout the solicitor profession.”
“I really enjoyed doing something completely different for a day outside of my comfort zone. Working on the allotment gave me a chance to catch up with colleagues and, importantly, help Alive and meet the wonderful staff that support people with dementia.”

Our values
Our five values describe the expectations we have of each other, in the way we support our clients, colleagues and communities.
Be open and inclusive
Challenge convention
Working side by side
Go beyond expectation
Drive sustainable action
WEN’s mission is to empower female colleagues to achieve their full potential so that there is gender diversity at all levels of the firm, and so that everyone, regardless of their gender, can lead fulfilling, equal and happy working lives.
Women's equality network
Our LGBT+ network supports and empowers lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans and non-binary colleagues, plus all those who identify under the wider LGBT+ umbrella. It drives inclusion through events and by sharing content that explores LGBT+ lived experiences.
LBGTLT+
We have a longstanding history of working with clients and other organisations to address a lack of diversity in the legal profession, and to support children from low income families to consider a career in the law or more broadly within law firms.
Social mobility network
“Volunteering with FareShare was a fantastic experience and I’d do it again tomorrow. It was very rewarding and felt good to get involved alongside colleagues and give something back.”
Kirsty Wilson, Associate
“It was fantastic to see the work that BOSP does in providing the youth club at Basildon. Opportunities such as this are few and far between for young people who require these facilities and it was wonderful to see their services in action – it really is first class."
