Colgate-Palmolive began utilizing the Transplace Control Tower in January of 2019, and immediately gained real-time, end-to-end visibility of all shipments flowing through the Transplace Transportation Management System (TMS). Seamless integration of Descartes MacroPoint™ and EDI into the TMS provides consistent and reliable real-time shipment tracking across every lane and carrier, with no additional cost or integration requirements.
In addition to providing a graphical view of all shipments, the Transplace Control Tower provides Colgate-Palmolive with dynamic dashboards to track all key performance indicators (KPI), including on-time arrivals/departures and carrier performance. Colgate-Palmolive and Transplace can now quickly and easily determine which shipments are on-time and in-route, which have passed the delivery date, which are at risk of being late, and which have been delivered on-time and in-full.
Further integration of predictive analytics and machine learning tools also enable Colgate-Palmolive and Transplace to identify potential supply chain disruptions and proactively address them in order to maintain smooth operations and high levels of customer service.
The Transplace Control Tower also enhances communication and collaboration between Colgate-Palmolive, Transplace and other supply chain partners to better optimize load planning and appointment scheduling while ensuring on-time delivery to customers.
