Transplace’s Tracking Portal empowers Eaton with end-to-end visibility, as well as a direct means for their internal customer service teams and external customers to track freight. The Tracking Portal track-and-trace solution is a web-based tool that provides real-time logistics network access and a summary of status updates on any active shipment moving through the Transplace Transportation Management System (TMS) within a 90-day range.
A unique Carrier Pro Number is created for all shipments by Eaton, connecting Eaton.com to the Transplace TMS for end-to-end visibility which expedites tracking from the origin to LTL shipments and all the way to the delivery’s final mile. For Eaton’s Service Team, Tracking Portal reduces a
six-step communications process to track and verify shipments with customers.
Eaton’s customer experience is enhanced significantly because Tracking Portal is purpose-built with a user-friendly, self-service access to the portal. Customers can check shipments and get real-time visibility since the portal feeds directly from the TMS.
Partnering with Transplace has improved forecasting for Eaton. Using Artificial Intelligence (AI) and machine learning, Transplace’s TMS proactively manages exception issues. The risk prediction models identify possible shipment disruptions earlier, allowing Eaton to reduce risks.
In addition, Eaton employs cross-docking and LTL pooling. With ~$15 billion of freight under management, Transplace has the largest North American network to support Eaton in optimizing supply chain efficiencies and saving costs.

Working with Transplace, Avery Dennison has achieved 15% cost reductions in customs services and 10% savings in freight. Transplace provides access to 1500+ approved carriers in Mexico to support capacity surges, take advantage of economies of scale, and meet Avery Dennison’s business goals.
