Club Traveler
HGV has launched a new Save Points opportunity for Club Members in 2022. With this new opportunity, the earlier you save your unused ClubPoints, the lower the transaction fee. As indicated in the chart below, saving earlier in the year will save you money. Members are still provided the flexibility to wait up to 11:59 p.m. ET to move any unused Points into the new year.
“We are very excited about this new opportunity as it provides a lot more flexibility, giving Club Members who know they cannot travel a way to enjoy savings,” says Barbie. “And even if your plans change, you can always borrow back what you need to book your stay.”
Please refer to the table below for more details.
Save early to save more
There are numerous benefits of traveling with Hilton Grand Vacations — and even more so when you know how to maximize your Club membership. Below, HGV Team Members and Explorers share their tips on stretching your ClubPoints, booking your dream trip and more.
Traveling with HGV is typically more affordable than owning a vacation home. Furthermore, our easy-to-use reservation system, with its seasonal Points values, is designed to help you stretch your dollar. “I always encourage Members who are flexible with their dates to consider traveling during the off season to optimize their Points. Consider booking during the Silver Season or Gold Season to enjoy a bigger unit or a longer stay,” advises Barbie Rinks, HGV vice president of Club and Owner Services.
“For instance, at Tuscany Village, a Hilton Grand Vacations Club, a seven-night stay in a 2-Bedroom Suite will cost you 11,200 Points in Platinum Season, whereas a seven-night stay in a 3-Bedroom Suite will cost you just 9,280 Points in Gold Season,” explains HGV senior inventory specialist Shaun Champatsingh.

“ClubPartner Perks allow you to leverage your ClubPoints for vacations and experiences beyond HGV’s collection of resorts,” explains Ross Moore, HGV senior director of Project Strategy and Implementation. “Whether for a cruise, a guided journey or a chartered yacht, consider researching and adding an available Partner vacation option to your next trip. How to Book Your Dream Trip
For her honeymoon in January 2020, HGV Explorer Kassi P. and her husband spent eight nights in Las Vegas and The Big Island in Hawaii, staying at Elara, a Hilton Grand Vacations Club and Ocean Tower, a Hilton Grand Vacations Club, respectively. Here, she shares some tips on maximizing your Points when planning your dream trip.
Choose the room type for your needs
“Knowing that we’d be out and about in Las Vegas, we decided to book a Studio. On the other hand, we opted for a 1-Bedroom Suite with a partial ocean view in Hawaii, where the goal was to sit back and relax.”
Consider weekday stays
“With our trip being as long as it was, we took the opportunity to spend most of our time in Hawaii during the week instead of over the weekend [when you need more Points to book a stay]. This was the perfect strategy for maximizing our Points value.”
Travel during the off season
“We got married on New Year’s Eve, but we decided to go on our honeymoon only a few weeks later to avoid the peak holiday season. This allowed us to have a longer honeymoon and stay in a 1-Bedroom Suite in Hawaii, versus a Studio. Even with other vacations, we always check the seasonality of our destination to see how we can extend or upgrade our experience.”
