The early bird gets the worm — and the early travel planner scores the best destinations, especially during peak travel windows. RCI starts receiving inventory up to two years in advance of travel dates, and new units are added every day — so it’s always a good idea to get a head start.

You may initiate an Ongoing Search up to two years before your desired check-in date by supplying the required information and, if you have not purchased RCI Platinum, paying your applicable exchange fee. Any Ongoing Search that reaches 60 days prior to the last check-in date requested will be canceled automatically. The Exchange fee may be refunded, provided you are not in arrears and the fee hasn’t been otherwise used. RCI reserves the right to change these terms without notice. These vacations are limited and subject to availability. Last Call Vacations prices are based on a seven-night stay. You won’t have to exchange your ClubPoints.

How long? If you’re searching for a seven-night stay, cast your net wider by also considering five- or six-night getaways. Your ideal destination may become available if you cut down your trip by a day or two. Where to? Think big — literally. Widen your search from a specific city to a larger region for more options. For example, if you can’t find available units in the Florida Keys, expand your search to Southeast Florida, which is easily accessible by car. Which days? Weekend getaways are the most popular, but weekday stays require fewer Points and typically have higher availability.

Be sure to also maximize all available search features:

Advanced Search Filters: Parameters include check-in date, unit size and length of stay. You can even search by vacation type, such as beach escapes, golf getaways, all-inclusive resorts and more. My Favorites: Add resorts or destinations to your My Favorites list by clicking the heart icon in the corner of each resort’s image or on the search filter bar. Once these favorites are added to your list, you can access them through the booking menu. Interactive Map: Click on your destination of choice to scope out where your resort is located relative to key attractions. Ongoing Search: Start a 24/7 search and let us do the hard work for you. We’ll notify you when your desired trip becomes available.

Exchange: Deposit your ClubPoints into RCI to book nearly 4,200 affiliated properties across the globe. Select Exchange: HGV Club Members are given priority to book a range of handpicked resorts before other RCI members. Learn more about Select Exchange in next month’s Club Traveler newsletter. Last Call Vacations: These are week-long vacations that can be confirmed within 45 days of your desired check-in date. They’re perfect for a last-minute getaway and can be booked whether or not you have ClubPoints remaining in your account.
