Club Traveler
Hilton Vacation Club is a new collection of upscale resorts that complements our existing Hilton Grand Vacations Club and Hilton Club properties. Our goal is to offer Members a wider range of vacation choices with additional destinations and new Points options.
What is Hilton Vacation Club?
Since the acquisition of Diamond Resorts in August 2021, Hilton Grand Vacations has announced several new milestones as part of ongoing efforts to integrate the two companies. Recently, HGV launched a new membership program, HGV Max, which will provide future access to more than 140 properties and 20 new destinations.
On the ground, new milestones abound, including the rebranding of select Diamond properties as Hilton Vacation Club — HGV’s new property collection. Club Traveler sat down with Stan Soroka, HGV’s executive vice president and chief customer officer, to talk about rebranding efforts and why this is an exciting time for the company.
HGV Max Members will be able to book a stay at The Historic Powhatan, a Hilton Vacation Club in the future
Our Hilton Vacation Club properties will open up exciting new markets and destinations. I think it’s a wonderful addition to the already great collection of resorts we have in the Hilton Grand Vacations portfolio.
What else can you share about Hilton Vacation Club?
Our Hilton Vacation Club collection consists of family-friendly resorts, with a lot of the same features our other properties have. Many resorts are in new locations and within driving distance from where our Owners live. And some Hilton Vacation Club resorts even offer unique amenities that are new to HGV. For instance, Mystic Dunes, a Hilton Vacation Club in Orlando features an on-site golf course designed by Champions Tour Player and NBC golf analyst Gary Koch.
The rebranding efforts extend beyond each resort’s physical features, too. For instance, HGV has stringent safety guidelines that go above and beyond what local codes may require. Our Owners also know and have come to expect our great service standards. As such, we’re working to ensure all rebranded resorts align with these standards and the resort teams are trained to deliver on our HGV service promise.

How long will the rebranding effort take?
The rebranding of Diamond Resorts is a phased, multi-year effort, which started earlier this year and is scheduled to end in 2026. As of April 2022, we’ve successfully rebranded four Diamond properties:
Four more properties are scheduled to be rebranded before the first half of the year. Our aim is to rebrand approximately 20 properties by the end of 2022.
Hilton Vacation Club properties are being offered as part of the new HGV Max program. We plan to make these properties available to HGV Max Members starting later in 2022.
How can I access these resorts?
Rebranding Timeline
Mainland United States: All passengers two years of age or older, regardless of vaccination status or citizenship, are required to obtain a negative COVID-19 test taken no more than one day before boarding their flight to the United States. Non-U.S. citizens who are not immigrants to the United States are required to be fully vaccinated and provide proof of their vaccination status to enter the country. Exceptions to this vaccination requirement are limited. For more information, visit the CDC website.
Hawaii: Hawaii is open and welcoming travelers, and as of March 26, visitors are no longer required to complete a Safe Travels application to enter the state. All international travelers entering the United States, regardless of vaccination status, must still comply with CDC travel requirements.
The United Kingdom: The United Kingdom has lifted all COVID-19-related restrictions on international travel. All visitors, regardless of their vaccination status, can enter the country without any additional testing or quarantine requirements.
Italy: All travelers six years of age or older must show either proof of vaccination, evidence of a negative PCR test taken within 72 hours before entering Italy, evidence of a negative antigen test taken within 48 hours before entering Italy, or a certificate that demonstrates you have recovered from COVID-19 within the last six months. Otherwise, you’ll need to quarantine for five days and take a COVID-19 test thereafter. All adult travelers will also need to complete a Passenger Locator Form.
Japan: Currently, Japan is only permitting foreign arrivals for purposes such as business and employment. Travelers are still not allowed to enter the country for tourism.
