Embark on the vacation of a lifetime: 13 nights exploring the stunning Alaskan wilderness by rail and sea with our partner CruisesOnly. Here’s what you can expect during the trip.
Experience glaciers, mountains and panoramic views onboard this unique voyage
Your journey begins in Fairbanks, the Golden Heart City of Alaska, where you can explore gorgeous natural sights and historic landmarks before taking in beautiful views with a cruise down the Chena River on the Riverboat Discovery sternwheeler.
You’ll then board the luxurious Wilderness Express — a glass-domed railcar — to Denali, where pristine landscapes and rugged wilderness await your discovery. Venture deep into Denali National Park on the Tundra Wilderness Tour, and choose from a range of optional activities, from bush pilots taking you up into the skies to leisurely hikes on quiet trails.
A second ride on the Wilderness Express will take you to Talkeetna to experience its rustic Main Street and quaint shops. Then, you’ll hop on the Wilderness Express for a final time to the Big Apple of the north — Anchorage.
After experiencing various attractions in Alaska’s largest city, the tour portion of your journey will conclude with a deluxe motor coach drive to Seward, where the cruise portion will begin aboard the Celebrity Millennium.

Once aboard your cruise ship, you’ll be treated to a series of awe-inspiring and memorable sights. You’ll start with a visit to the Hubbard Glacier — the largest tidewater glacier in North America — where you’ll enjoy picture-perfect views of this glorious mass of ice from about every angle. This is followed by a stop in Alaska’s capital, Juneau, where you’ll have the chance to go on a glacial dog-sled adventure.
The Klondike Gold Rush-era city of Skagway is the next stop on your itinerary, where you’ll get to check out its museums, historic buildings and panoramic railways. Next up is a trip to Icy Strait Point. Located near the city of Hoonah, it’s home to a historic cannery along with plenty of wildlife-viewing opportunities.
No trip to Alaska would be complete without visiting the Salmon Capital of the World — Ketchikan. Besides sampling the state’s famous seafood, you’ll have the opportunity to experience engaging cultural exhibits and nature excursions.
Lastly, you’ll sail through Alaska’s Inside Passage, a complex labyrinth of fjords, mountains and lush green islands that’s home to an abundance of wildlife including orcas, bald eagles, bears and much more. The Celebrity Millennium will then bring you to your final port of call in the modern and vibrant city of Vancouver. From here, you’ll begin the journey home — or maybe find a few reasons to keep exploring.
