With exciting sporting events and a new season of travel on its way, there’s never been a more exciting time to be a Member of The Club. Read on for the latest news and updates from Hilton Grand Vacations.

Important travel update

You’re not an EU national. You’re a citizen of a country whose nationals are not required to have a visa for a short-term stay in the European countries requiring ETIAS. You don’t have a residence permit/card/document issued by any of the European countries requiring ETIAS.

Earlier this year, Derek De Salvia promised to share regular updates with Members about Hilton Grand Vacations and sit down with HGV leaders to answer your questions. In Derek’s latest update, he was joined by Kevin Speidel, our senior vice president of Resort Operations, to discuss our rebranding efforts for legacy Diamond and Embarc properties, exciting new partnerships, a major golf course renovation at Mystic Dunes and the recent launch of our new Membership Appreciation initiative worldwide (more below). New update from Derek De Salvia

In 2024, travelers to Europe will be required to apply for and obtain travel authorization through the EU Travel Information & Authorization System (ETIAS). Although an official launch date has yet to be announced, please visit the official ETIAS webpage for more details, including a list of participating countries.

Introducing our new senior vice president of Club Services

During the ARDAventure VIP retreat recently held at The Broadmoor in Colorado Springs, the ARDA Board of Directors selected Gordon Gurnik, HGV’s senior executive vice president and chief operating officer, to serve as its chair-elect. Gordon assumed the role immediately upon his election, filling a previous vacancy. He will serve as chair-elect until the ARDA Spring Conference in May 2024, at which time he will be appointed chair of the board, taking over for ARDA’s current chair Michael D. Brown, president and CEO of Travel + Leisure Co. “It’s an honor to be selected as the chair-elect on ARDA’s esteemed board of directors,” says Gordon. “It’s been a pleasure being a part of the ARDA board for the past seven years, and I’m looking forward to continuing to work closely with ARDA’s board members and leadership team to drive impactful initiatives that will benefit the entire timeshare industry.”

Plus, a group of amateur golfers who qualify during the event’s Pro-Am also play alongside celebrities in official tournament rounds. New Member Appreciation program

At HGV, we’re always looking for ways to surprise and delight our Owners and Members and show how much we appreciate you being a part of our family. This is why we’re excited about the launch of our new weekly Owner and Member Exclusives, taking place at all our properties. The events are hosted by the resort operations leadership team and feature updates on planned projects and Owner feedback (like customer satisfaction scores), information about on-site Owner- and Member-exclusive offerings or special events throughout the week and an opportunity for Q&A sessions with the resort team. Other special events vary by property and could include holiday activities, seasonal snacks and refreshments, meet-and-greets with the resort staff, welcome gifts, birthday or special recognitions and much more fun!

HGV Max Benefits Update

Refer to the chart below for an updated timeline on the upcoming HGV Max benefits launching in fall 2023 and early 2024 to our participating Members. As of October 4, 2023, Members of The Club with HGV Max benefits can now access Loyalty Accommodation Upgrades when booking reservations. See the full list of current HGV Max benefits by logging in to your Member website here.

We’re also thrilled to announce the newest member of the HGV team. Please welcome Leigh Nieman, our new senior vice president of Club Services. Leigh will focus on aligning the Club strategic priorities to the overall business, driving deeper engagement and connection with Members, developing a roadmap to integrate our Club programs and expand HGV Max, and continuously improve and grow our service capabilities for Members and Owners. Prior to joining HGV, Leigh spent 30 years at Disney Vacation Club, leading its customer service efforts and member offerings.

“Our goal is to continue to provide our Members and Owners with amazing service while thinking of creative new ideas to help us better serve you,” Leigh says. “I’m excited about some of the phone systems and website upgrades we’re planning in the coming months that will help raise the bar to an even higher level.” Stay tuned for more information about Leigh in our next update from Derek De Salvia.

“Some of our larger properties are designating part of our pool decks or reserving cabanas for our Owners’ and Members’ exclusive use, while others might be providing discounts on services,” explains Alix Daley, HGV vice president of Brand Operations. “There may also be regional and seasonal offerings, enrichment events like Paint and Sip, cooking demos, behind the scenes tours or even retail exclusives.” As part of our Member Appreciation program, we also launched a Comforts of Home initiative, which provides Owners and Members with a list of convenience items they can request to enhance their time at the resort. “These items may include things like specialty kitchen items, baking utensils, additional housewares like an air fryer or roasting pan or even computer monitors to enhance a work-from-home environment,” adds Alix. It doesn’t matter which property you’re visiting, and you don’t need to be at your Home Resort to take part in Member Appreciation events. These are taking place at all of our resorts around the world.
