Identify the right freight for your LTL transportation strategy
Cross-border Less Than Truckload (LTL)
Data Sheet
Shippers are turning to a LTL freight solution when they are executing relatively small freight that has flexibility and delivery deadlines.
Freight that meets the criteria for LTL shipping includes commodities properly packaged, boxed, palletized, or crated, with the usage of shrink wrap and straps, weighing less than 10,000 lbs gross weight, and occupying up to 18 trailer feet.
The main factors that play into LTL shipping quotes are lane, commodity classification, gross weight, pallet quantity with dimensions, and accessorial fees upon request (resident delivery, guarantee service, etc.)

Pooling
Another solution for shippers moving small freight without the implications of handling and cross docking the shipment at every LTL terminal. Pooling can be considered for Northbound and Southbound shipments. This solution provides less handling, mitigating the possibility of damage.
