Are there any cancellation fees if I cannot attend?
In-person cancellation: •All conference cancellation requests must be submitted in writing via email to UKGConnections@UKG.com. •In-person cancellations received by October 18, 2021 will be refunded, minus a $125.00 cancellation fee. •In-person cancellations received between October 19 and November 15, 2021 will be refunded, minus a $500.00 cancellation fee. •In-person cancellations received after November 15, 2021 are not refundable. •Like-kind substitutions (in-person to in-person or virtual to virtual only) are permitted prior to the conference. The original registrant must submit a written request via email to UKGConnections@UKG.com. Virtual cancellation: •All conference cancellation requests must be submitted in writing via email to UKGConnections@UKG.com. •Virtual cancellations received by 11:59 p.m. ET on December 6, 2021 will receive a full refund. •Virtual cancellations received after December 6, 2021 are not refundable. •Substitutions are permitted prior to the conference. What is the dress code for Connections?
The conference is business casual, and we recommend that you bring: •A light jacket or sweater because the hotel conference rooms can be chilly. •At least one pair of comfortable shoes. The resort and conference space are very large. You will do a lot of walking.

How do I book, change, or cancel my hotel room reservation?
Click here for access to either your current reservation or available rooms at the Wynn Las Vegas and Encore Resort. We have negotiated discounted rates for you. Our room block expires on November 19, 2021. Once our room block is full or expired, we cannot get the rate for anyone.
What time is hotel check-in and checkout?
Check-in begins at 3:00 p.m. PT. Checkout is at 11:00 a.m. PT. If you arrive earlier/later, the bell desks at each hotel can store your luggage for you.
What if I need to leave the conference early?
Per hotel policy, an early departure fee of one-night’s room plus tax will be incurred if you modify your departure date upon or after check-in.
Can I use a company card to pay for my hotel room?
You may reserve your hotel room with any credit card you choose; however, when you check in, you will be required to present a card with your name on it for incidentals. PLEASE NOTE: The credit card used to book this reservation must be present upon arrival at the Front Desk and match the name of the guest checking in. If this is not possible, please contact the Wynn Las Vegas and Encore Resort Reservations Team at 866-770-7555 or 702-770-2222 so they can process the corporate card that’s not in your name. How much does the hotel put on hold on my credit card for incidentals?
The Wynn Las Vegas and Encore Resort will place a hold of $150 per day on the credit card upon check-in. This hold allows guests to charge items to their rooms, such as restaurant or bar charges, gift shop merchandise, in-room dining, etc. This $150 per day hold will be charged to the credit card presented at check-in, not the card used to reserve the room. If the credit card you are using to check-in does not have your name on it, the hotels will not accept it unless you call the reservation line in advance and make arrangements at least 72 hours prior to check-in.
Will there be any additional hotel charges?
•$25 per room, per night resort fee. Charged at check in, this fee covers in-room internet access for up to four devices, complimentary self-parking, access to the fitness center and resort pools, printing of boarding passes through concierge, and more. •$25 flat fee for 24 hours of valet parking. Self-parking is included in your resort fee.
Where can I store my luggage if I get in early or my flight doesn’t leave until later?
The bell desks can store your luggage prior to check-in/checkout.
What airport should I fly in and out of?
Most major airlines operate out of Las Vegas McCarran International Airport (LAS).
When should I fly in/out of Las Vegas?
•Conference registration and check-in will be open Monday, December 13 from noon until 8:00 p.m. After check-in, you are free to visit our Community and Learning Lounge or recharge in our Mindfulness Lounge. •If you cannot register on Monday between noon and 8:00 p.m. PT, you can check-in Tuesday, December 14 starting at 6:30 a.m. •Our first general session begins Tuesday, December 14 at 8:30 a.m. •Our final conference event will be our Customer Appreciation Party on Thursday night from 8:00 p.m. until midnight. •Conference attendees should book their outgoing travel for Friday morning, December 17 anytime. Hotel checkout time is 11:00 a.m. The bell desk can hold your luggage, if needed.
When do I select my breakout sessions?
A list of the session titles will be made available in September. Registration for breakout sessions will be in November.
Are you offering Hands-on Learning sessions?
Yes, we will be offering Hands-on Learning sessions for in-person conference attendees. The sessions will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. When session registration first opens in the fall, customers will be able to select one (1) Hands-on Learning session. One week later, the rest of the breakout sessions will open, at which time customers can choose additional Hands-on Learning sessions (if available), along with their regular breakout sessions.
Will recertification credits be offered at Connections 2021?
Yes. As in years past, we plan on applying for APA, SHRM, and HRPA accreditation. Once we are notified on how many credits we can offer for the virtual and in-person conference, we will send an email as well as inform you through the Community portal. The HR Certification Institute (HRCI) will not pre-approve Connections 2021 for credit hours because the conference is not open to the public. You may record your relevant Connections activities into your account profile, but UKG cannot guarantee the credits will be accepted.
WYNN RESORTS SUSTAINABILITY PROGRAM Green Initiatives at Wynn Las Vegas and Encore
•Sustainability at Wynn Resorts means providing luxurious, service-driven hospitality in a manner that respects people, communities, and the environment. For more than 10 years, Wynn has been an enthusiastic steward of the environment, proving that a five-star resort can function at the highest level of service while still being environmentally responsible. •Green Buildings: Wynn Las Vegas and Encore buildings hold the high award of Four Green Globes (equivalent to LEED Platinum) from the Green Building Initiative. By achieving this high-level certification, Wynn Las Vegas and our guests participate in building a more sustainable community. Our buildings have been certified as having excellence in resource efficiency, health, and environmental sustainability. Wynn Las Vegas continues to install more efficient building features, implement energy-saving devices, and establish sustainability procedures to enhance hotel operations. •Renewable Energy: Wynn Las Vegas invests in renewable sources of energy to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Solar power is generated in two ways. Rooftop solar panels at the hotel provide clean power directly to our guests. Additionally, solar power of scale is generated at the 160-acre Wynn Solar Facility. This energy offsets up to 75% of the resort’s peak power requirements. This is the largest percentage of renewable energy used by any resort in Las Vegas. •Energy Efficiency: Wynn Las Vegas spearheads a system-wide effort to conserve utilities by exceeding efficiency standards wherever possible. Wynn Las Vegas has reduced its energy consumption by more than 100 million kilowatt hours by investing in energy efficient technologies such as LED lighting. Investing in energy efficiency has offset over 100,000 metric tons of greenhouse gas emissions- equivalent to 9.9 million gallons of gasoline. Efficiency programs are a key program in the companywide initiative to reduce resource consumption. •Water Conservation: Wynn Las Vegas incorporated more than five acres of artificial turf across the resort, saving over 30 million gallons of water each year. Non-potable water is used on the golf course and the drip irrigation system is designed to forecast weather in order to deliver only the necessary amount of water. We minimize our chemical impact through organic landscape products and biological pest control methods. We have also implemented a composting solution to recycle all greenery, flower and landscaping waste. •Responsibly Sourced Produce: Sustainability plays a major role in the culinary program at Wynn Las Vegas. The majority of produce is sourced from within a 400-mile radius, reducing fossil fuel consumption needed for transportation. Chefs review each purveyor, farmer, rancher, and fisherman to evaluate if their operations meet our sustainability standards. Guests receive the best tasting, freshest food, while also supporting ethical and responsible environmental practices. Wynn Las Vegas sources line-caught seafood at the fine dining restaurants to avoid unintentionally trapping marine life. In many instances, seafood is sourced from day boat fisherman, thus supporting family owned sustainable fishing operations. •Food Waste: Our Food and Beverage operations collect excess food waste before it can collect in traditional landfill. By working with local food waste management businesses, thousands of tons of food scraps have been converted into animal feed. Additionally, reclaimed food is donated to a local food pantry to fight food insecurity. •Responsibly Sourced Goods: Wynn Las Vegas is working to reduce the negative environmental impacts of pollution by reducing use of single-use plastics at the hotel. Wynn Resorts began transitioning all hotels away from using plastic straws in 2018. Containers made from eco-friendly materials will replace majority of plastics around Wynn Las Vegas in 2019. •Reuse & Recycle: Wynn Las Vegas builds long-term partnerships with local waste management providers to ensure reliable waste management. All trash is collected and thoroughly sorted to remove recyclable materials like glass, paper, and metal. Larger products and machinery are repaired or reused by our employees to extend the duration of the product life. •Recycling Soap: By collecting, recycling and distributing used soap and shampoo products from our guest rooms every day, Clean the World and Wynn Las Vegas are collectively saving lives and the planet, domestically and internationally. To date, more than 500,000 bars of soap have been sent out to communities globally.
What COVID-19 precautions are being taken?

What are the hours of the Fitness Centers?
The Wynn Las Vegas and Encore Resort fitness centers are open from 5:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Can I ship items to the Wynn or Encore Resort?
Yes, you may ship items to your attention at the hotel. Please note there is a fee for the hotels to accept and store packages. Fees vary; please call the hotel at 702-770-7000 or 888-320-7123 to inquire about rates.
Can I bring a guest to the conference to dine with me, attend evening events, etc.?
We are not able to offer Connections guest passes. The only people allowed in any of the conference areas will be our customers, sponsors, and staff members. We apologize in advance for any inconvenience.
Is there an event app for UKG Connections?
Yes, we will provide mobile-friendly access to important information related to Connections 2021. Closer to the event date, all registered attendees will receive access and instructions via email on how to download, log in, and join in the fun!
Sustainability
Do I need to be vaccinated to attend?
To ensure everyone feels as comfortable as possible at UKG Connections, UKG has decided to require all participants to show proof of COVID-19 vaccination to attend the conference. Attendees unable to meet the vaccination requirement must provide proof of a negative PCR COVID-19 test result taken within 72 hours of checking into the conference. Please refer to the safety information page for any updates or changes ahead of the UKG Connections as we continue to monitor the ongoing pandemic situation and adjust our plans as necessary. We have also highlighted additional measures that we are taking in collaboration with our host venues to create a safe and comfortable onsite experience. To ensure everyone feels as comfortable as possible at UKG Connections, UKG has decided to require all participants to show proof of COVID-19 vaccination to attend the conference. To be considered fully vaccinated, attendees must have received their second dose of the Pfizer or Moderna vaccine OR their dose of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine at least 14 days prior to checking in. To assist with a simple and safe verification process of COVID-19 vaccinations, UKG is using Health Pass by CLEAR to provide a secure and digital proof of COVID-19 vaccinations. Health Pass by CLEAR is a free mobile application that makes entering events quick, safe, and easy for everyone in attendance. We will be communicating instructions to all attendees and adding them to this page as soon as they are finalized. Attendees unable to meet the vaccination requirement must provide proof of a negative PCR COVID-19 test result taken within 72 hours of checking into the conference. This test result must be uploaded to CLEAR Health Pass to gain entry into the conference. Effective July 30, 2021, Nevada adopted the updated CDC Mask Guidance. In line with this guidance as well as venue requirements, all attendees — regardless of vaccination status — are required to wear a face covering at UKG Connections when not actively eating or drinking. Feel free to get creative and express yourself with your most comfortable and creative face mask! We have implemented various social distancing practices throughout the conference, including, but not limited to: • Reduced overall event capacity • Spaced-out seating available during meals, general sessions, and breakout sessions • Reduced contact during check-in • Touchless scan-and-go stations for entry into breakout sessions • Controlled capacity inside the Expo Hall • Designated one-way entrances and exits, where possible Hand sanitizer stations will be conveniently placed throughout the conference.
