Streamline employee garnishment administration with the new Garnishment Earning and Deduction Setup feature. This enhancement will allow you to setup at the company level what earnings and deductions, by garnishment type, will be used for the calculation of disposable wages. These earnings and deductions will be automatically applied to employees’ garnishment deductions.

Set which earnings and deductions get applied to employees’ garnishment deductions.
Add, update, or delete status history records directly from the UKG Pro portal. Administrators will soon be able to update an employee’s status history start date, leave of absence reason, and notes without opening a case. Employees will also be able to view their own Status History page in the UKG Pro solution.

Administrators will save time and be able to perform a multi-company new hire directly in the UKG Pro portal for U.S. employees without opening a case. In addition, you’ll also be able to use the multi-company wizard to have an employee's new profile flow seamlessly from an existing profile with their personal information, job, tax setup, and more.

Tired of continually searching for an employee and being unable to find their profile by the name you refer to them as? Look no further as administrators and managers will be able to search for employees by their preferred name in the UKG Pro solution. The profile will no longer show their legal name as it will respect the employees preferred name when navigating under My Team.

Manage tax exemption status changes with ease in Guided Adjustments.
To enable this feature, go to Menu > System Configuration > Workflow Administration > Business Processes > Add US Employee (Rehire and Multi-Company Hire). Enable the Business Process and configure workflow approvals, if needed.
To enable, go to Menu > System Configuration > Security > Role Administration > Web Access Rights > Employee Admin > My Employees > Employee Admin > Personal > Status History.
Your time is valuable. That’s why we’ll be rolling out a new feature that lets you quickly add earnings for multiple employees as Pending Pay Items. A new Import Earnings button will let you easily mass import employee earnings such as spot bonuses instead of having to create an individual pending pay item for each affected employee.

Set preferences for select analytics displayed on the Smart Pay Analytics feature with expanded functionality that will give you even more configuration options. In addition, when comparing totals for a current payroll, administrators will be able to view the results they most want to see by selecting a payroll of their choosing to compare against on the Payroll Overview screen in the UKG Pro solution. Smart Pay Analytics must already be configured for an administrator to access this feature.

To enable this feature, go to Menu > Settings Configuration > System Settings > Payroll Settings.
Tired of having to retroactively correct an employee’s pay rate in payroll? Seamlessly process future hourly pay rate changes on an employee’s primary job thanks to new effective dating enhancements. When the effective date of the hourly pay rate change applies to the current pay period being processed, the UKG Pro solution will automatically pull in the rate change. You’ll even be able to apply the change mid-pay period if daily records are provided by your time and attendance system. A new “Use job’s effective date for hourly pay rate” option in the Payroll Processing column will need to be selected to use this feature.
Effective Dating Hourly Pay Rates
Customize and create new check formats for your company’s bank directly in the UKG Pro portal. You’ll be able to select the output type, adjust the placement of the MICR fields, select how many codes (accruals, deductions, taxes, and earnings) display on the pay statement, and more. A new validation and message will also be added to ensure that a check format linked to a bank cannot be deleted, preventing an error from occurring during payroll.

You’ll no longer need to duplicate your configurations or recreate accrual codes for your UKG Pro Workforce Management solutions thanks to new functionality that will allow you to select your codes in Pro as they currently exist in Workforce Management (also known as UKG Dimensions).

Improve the user experience for your managers and administrators working with the UKG Pro Compensation solution by providing them the ability to enter and to view comments on worksheets for a smoother communication process. In addition, you’ll be able to provide administrators access to worksheets during the allocation process. With this capability, your people will be able to complete their salary planning process more efficiently and on time while providing better support to your managers.

Hiring a new employee and updating a current employee’s job information is about to get easier thanks to the Profile Auto Assignment feature coming to your UKG Pro™ Workforce Management (formerly UltiPro and Kronos Workforce Dimensions) solution. Soon administrators will be able to set up rules and value sets that automatically populate a new hire profile or that of an existing employee who had job-related changes. The value sets can be copied and easily modified or imported directly into the value sets, reducing data entry time. Profile template fields and direct assignments that are automatically populated within the Add Employee and Add US/Canadian/International Employee wizards will display an indicator and can still be manually updated as needed. You’ll also be able to configure exceptions for employee profiles that should never be updated by the Profile Auto Assignment feature and track your updates to employee records via the Change Log page.

Your UKG Pro Workforce Management solutions allow you to say goodbye to the extra step of having to manually configure Activity Profile templates and Healthcare Analytics labor types for your employees in Workforce Management (also known as UKG Dimensions). Now, you can set up both in Pro during the new hire process and they will seamlessly sync between your unified solutions.

To enable this feature, go to Menu > Settings Configuration > Business Structure > Profile Auto Assignments.
The Manage Value Sets page shows value sets configured for a specific Profile Auto Assignment rule.
Administrators will gain the ability to archive and to delete plans directly from the Salary Plans page in the UKG Pro Compensation solution, eliminating the need to open a case to archive or delete plans. Once a plan is archived in your solution, it will no longer be visible to managers but will remain accessible to administrators under the Archived tab where they’ll then have the option to permanently delete the plan. In addition, plans will now be listed chronologically with the most recent plan year at the top.

Seamlessly and securely run payroll using a new API integration that will provide a direct connection between your UKG Pro Workforce Management solutions. Once configured, you’ll no longer need to download payroll files from Workforce Management (also known as UKG Dimensions) and upload them into Pro; instead, earnings and deductions from Workforce Management will pull directly into Pro, making your payroll process more efficient. Additionally, this API integration makes it a lot easier to undo a step — such as submitting pay data — when running payroll. You’ll no longer need to reimport time and payroll files from Workforce Management (also known as Dimensions), but can now easily go back and fix something and resubmit directly within Pro.

Find menu items you’re looking for with ease thanks to a new tool bar search that filters your options. Use the search filter by typing in a word like “pay” to pull up menu options such as “Variable Pay” or “Pay History” in a flash.

Coming later this year, users of UKG Pro solutions and Microsoft Viva will be able to see their paycheck information directly in Microsoft Viva with more features being added in 2022.

Streamline processes and increase productivity with new and enhanced qualifiers coming to your UKG Pro Onboarding solution. Those assigned the Onboarding Employee Admin role will gain an expanded view for new hires based on the organization levels assigned along with work location, job, and component company. In addition, new Full Time/Part Time and Work Location code qualifiers will make it easier to get your people the information they need to make the onboarding process as smooth as possible.

With the constant evolution of state laws, we’ll be creating a new dashboard in your UKG Pro solution to assist you with tracking diversity, equity, and inclusion metrics. Similar to your EEO-1 Dashboard, you’ll be able to view the data in different graphs and tables and leverage date range, state, and other additional filtering options. You’ll also be able to easily extract data for employees to streamline any needed filing.

The need to switch between mobile apps will soon be significantly reduced with new UKG Pro Workforce Management functionality coming to your UKG Pro mobile app. From a single app, you’ll gain access to more UKG Dimensions manager pages, such as Team Timecards and Team Schedule. In addition, administrators will no longer have to select individual pages on the Mobile App Access Rights page in the UKG Pro solution to enable access for their people. They’ll simply select the Time (Workforce Dimensions) option and Dimensions access privileges will be assigned for all pages and also respected in the UKG Pro solution.
