The Center for Advanced Policing, which is funded by a $1 million grant from the U.S. Department of Justice, helps to identify and provide guidance on new and better practices in policing.
Supported by the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation, we created a Long Island Sound stewardship program to provide marine environmental education opportunities to members of the community. Interactive programs are offered at our new marine lab on the shore of the Sound.
Through a collaboration with the Yale Prison Education Initiative, the University offers the only bachelor’s degree to incarcerated students in Connecticut. Our Tow Youth Justice Institute puts the University at the forefront of juvenile justice reform.
