Reporting Solution
Investing in a solution to streamline the process of generating validated and compliant database outputs.
Medical Benefit
UBC is investing in a solution to streamline the process of generating validated and compliant database outputs by removing the need for custom report development and validation. UBC is considering solutions from Oracle, RxLogix and Sophos Systems as well as the possibility of building this solution internally utilizing the Tableau platform. This system will consist of an underlying pre-validated data warehouse, a self-serve reporting tool, and a package of standard reports. We expect to reduce the turn-around time for a custom line listing from a matter of weeks to a matter of hours.
Reporting Solution
Literature review is another activity where tooling can make all the difference. UBC experts, using the DistillerSR platform, are able to focus on the content of the documents under review without separately managing their work in disparate Excel spreadsheets. The DistillerSR platform utilizes AI and advanced machine learning algorithms to automatically prioritize documents and call out keywords deserving of the closest attention.
AI-Based Literature Review
UBC has further streamlined the case intake and data entry process with our electronic reportable event form (eRef) solution. Ideal for use by vendors expected to report high volumes of cases (e.g., specialty pharmacies and clinical trial sites), the eRef solution is a web-based data entry form that replaces paper forms for event reporting. These cases enter workflow immediately upon submission (via E2B) with no need for review or additional data entry.
Electronic Reportable Event Form (eRef)
Artificial Intelligence is driving a renaissance within today’s economy. Automated workflows that utilize cognitive techlogies such as optical and intelligent character recognition (OCR/ICR) and natural language processing (NLP) are being combined with streamlined and intelligent user interfaces to form “augmented intelligence” solutions. In the PV space, this means solutions that target case intake and data entry. Our case processing is focused on ensuring that extracted data is accurate and comprehensive. We expect this automation to reduce the burden of case data entry by 50% and to improve the initial quality of data entry, inducing additional efficiencies throughout the process.
AI-Based Case Intake Automation
The trend toward cloud computing is a major force within the technology space; "The Cloud" is an enabler and often a prerequisite of today’s most exciting innovations. The availability of massive on-demand computing power underwrites machine learning solutions that are not otherwise feasible. Cloud-native APIs, tooling, and platforms offer cost and feature benefits that are driving the technology industry to adopt a “cloud-first” approach – indeed, Oracle’s roadmap for Argus Safety includes cloud-only capabilities. Understanding all of this, and being dedicated to providing the best service and the best value for our clients while keeping pace with the ever-fluid regulatory environment, UBC is currently investing in an upgrade to version 8.2 of the Argus Safety platform which is to conclude with a move onto the Oracle cloud.
Argus Upgrade & Oracle Cloud
Having access to the right data at the right time is critical to robust decision making, and UBC is working to streamline client access to the insights contained within the Argus Safety database. UBC utilizes the Tableau analytics platform to provide world-class interactive visualizations that give clients direct access and better visibility without the need to access the Argus database. UBC has invested heavily in a set of client-facing baseline KPI reports and continues to invest in this capability by working directly with clients to surface insights and ensure that they have the data they need directly at their fingertips.
