Deep Listening Skills: The Art
of Curiosity
Aaron Henkin, WYPR
Thursday, May 19 at 3:00 p.m.
Listening is one of the key building blocks for team success at work. We often think ahead about the next thing we'll say rather than respond to the stories our teammates are sharing. This interactive workshop explores how to listen to others, especially those whose life experiences differ from our own. Participants will practice their listening skills and explore the art of asking questions with an expert interviewer, WYPR Producer Aaron Henkin. Aaron produced the award-winning series Out of the Blocks, an immersive listening experience built from a mosaic of voices and soundscapes on the streets of Baltimore and beyond for nine years.
