Luke Walton joins the Kings after spending the previous three seasons as head coach of the Los Angeles Lakers. Under Walton, the Lakers improved each season and his fast-paced offense ranked amongst the top in the league. In 2016-17, the Lakers improved from a franchise-worst record by nine games, finishing the season 26-56. In the following years, the Lakers continued to improve, posting records of 35-47 in 2017-18 and 37-45 in 2018-19. Walton has been praised by his players and across the league for his ability to develop young players and improve their skills. Before joining the Lakers, Walton was an assistant coach with the Golden State Warriors from 2014 to 2016. During his time with the team, they appeared in consecutive NBA Finals and won the NBA Championship in 2015. He received Western Conference Coach of the Month honors (November 2015) after serving as interim head coach in Steve Kerr’s absence and leading the Warriors to a 39-4 start for the 2015-16 season, including winning the first 24 games, an NBA record. Prior to joining the Warriors coaching ranks, he served as a player development coach for the Lakers G-League affiliate, the South Bay Lakers, in the 2013-14 season. He also served as an assistant coach at the University of Memphis during the 2011 NBA lockout. Walton’s decade-long NBA playing career with the Lakers (2003-12) and Cleveland Cavilers (2012-13) spanned 564 regular season games averaging 4.7 points, 2.8 rebounds and 2.3 assists. The San Diego native was selected 32nd overall in the 2003 NBA Draft by the Lakers, where he made seven postseason appearances and was a member of back-to-back NBA Championship teams in 2009 and 2010. Walton played at Arizona for Hall-of-Fame coach Lute Olson, whom he attributes as a great influence in his life and as a coach. Walton left Arizona and the Pac-10 as one of only three players in conference history to tally 1,000 career points, 500 rebounds, and 500 assists. He was named an All-Pac-10 performer twice in his four-year career (1999-2003), and was a Wooden Award Finalist as a senior. His best statistical season came as a junior, where he posted averages of 15.7 points, 7.3 rebounds, and 6.3 assists, earning his selection to four All-America teams, including being one of 10 players to receive John R. Wooden Award All-American honors. Walton’s father, Bill, is a member of the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame and was named one of the NBA’s 50 Greatest Players. The father/son duo are one of two pairs in NBA history to both win multiple NBA titles (Mychal and Klay Thompson). Walton’s three brothers; Nate, Adam, and Chris all played basketball in college, and he cites his mother Susie as the person he most admires for raising four boys Walton and his wife Bre, who he met at Arizona where she was a standout volleyball player, are the parents of son Lawson and daughter Landen.

The Rochester National Basketball League franchise was originally nicknamed the Royals in 1946 after 15-year-old Richard Paeth’s entry beat out 500 other suggestions in a name the team contest. For his winning entry, Paeth, a native of Rochester, received a $100 Victory Bond from team president/manager Les Harrison. When the franchise moved to Cincinnati before the 1957-58 campaign, the ownership decided to maintain the Royals moniker. However, when the franchise moved to Kansas City prior to the 1972-73 season, it needed a new nickname because the name Royals was already being used by the city’s Major League Baseball team. Wanting to keep the “Royal” theme, the club decided on the nickname of Kings. On May 22, 1994, the Sacramento Kings unveiled a new primary logo, home and road uniforms, and team colors. The changes marked the first major alteration from the crown and ball logo which had been the franchise’s trademark since the club resided in Cincinnati. On April 26, 2016, the Kings shared a new brand identity with fans during a special preview of Golden 1 Center, the team’s future downtown home currently under construction. "When the Kings moved to Sacramento in 1985, the city was transformed. Today, we aim to do it again,” said Owner and Chairman Vivek Ranadivé. “This brand kicks off a new era for our franchise as we move into the most technologically-advanced, most environmentally-friendly arena in the world. As Sacramento becomes the next great American city, this identity honors our heritage while moving us forward. ”The new primary emblem is inspired by the Kings classic logo. It is reimagined to reflect the civic and franchise pride that has lasted and grown for a generation. Now, with a clean, modern look – a reshaped crown, refined basketball and new typeface that puts Sacramento front and center – the new identity draws from the team’s ambitious beginnings and reminds our region and the world that Sacramento is undergoing a transformation. Each of the team’s new insignia are designed to connect to the elements that define the Sacramento Kings: Our City. Our Pride. Our Foundation. The secondary logo featuring the lion, pays tribute to the unmatched pride and loyalty of the NBA’s best fans. The “Sac” badge is dedicated to the bold and unwavering devotion the Kings organization has for its city. A new crown logo reflects the rich tradition of the team dating back to its origins, reminding the fanbase and the community of Sacramento that, “we are all Kings.” The heralding lion crest represents leadership and strength and will be used as the Kings work to make basketball the premier global sport of the 21st century.

In his first season, Stokes was named NBA Rookie of the Year and was named to the All-NBA Second Team after posting team-highs of 16.8 ppg (11th in NBA), 16.3 rpg (2nd in NBA), and 4.9 apg (9th in NBA). An All-Star in all three seasons, Stokes averaged 16.4 ppg, 17.3 rpg, and 5.3 apg in 202 career games. His brillant career was cut short when he was diagnosed with post-traumatic encephalopathy (brain injury damaging motor-control center) after a fall suffered three days earlier in a game against the Minneapolis Lakers (3/12/58).
Nate "Tiny" Archibald played six of his 13 NBA seasons with the Kings franchise. Selected by the Cincinnati Royals in the second round of the 1970 NBA Draft, Archibald starred in six NBA All-Star Games. Anthony McClish, Stockton Kings GM
The G League provides a considerable amount of value in a wide variety of areas for the NBA club. The GLG provides a tool through which to develop both NBA and GLG players and staff. We use Stockton games and practices as additional professional reps for players like Harry Giles this season, as we did for Justin Jackson last season. For our GLG players, they also benefit from individual development for the potential of earning an NBA roster spot in the future, and also contribute to the overall environment conducive to the development of our current NBA players. In rarer cases, the GLG can also be used in an overall return-to-play plan for injured NBA players. The proximity of Sacramento to Stockton, in addition to having a state-of-the-art arena, provides our organization a unique ability to benefit from player movement between leagues. The benefits of the GLG also reaches to staff. Professional experience gained by our coaching, athletic performance, and Basketball Operations GLG staffs provide a pol of employees with institutional and relevant knowledge from which to promote to the NBA level in the future.
“Our NBA G League team has been an incredible asset to help prepare players for NBA action and bringing the team closer to Sacramento will allow us to continue to build on that success and increase efficiency to this valuable development tool…Kings fans in Stockton will now have an opportunity to see the next-generation of NBA players each week.” – Vlade Divac, Sacramento Kings General Manager

During the holidays, the Sacramento Kings Foundation, in partnership with K-LOVE, teamed up with corporate partners, players, coaches and staff to treat almost 30,000 individuals from more than 125 nonprofits organizations to a memorable holiday season. “Season of Doing Good” highlights include the Eat Like a King Dinner at Golden 1 Center with the entire Kings team; Folsom Prison “Play for Justice” event – players and staff visited Folsom Prison for a roundtable discussion and basketball game coached by Kings players and coaches; the Kings bought out several theaters for screenings of Just Mercy; Shop Like A King with Raley’s, where 10 families shopped with Bogdan Bogdanovic at Raley’s; and the Ticket Sales Tree Delivery in which TSS staff decorated and delivered 30 trees to a local Eskaton facility.

Lead Inspire Flourish Thrive
2019 marked the 3rd year of the Sacramento Kings organization-wide commitment to Lead, Inspire, Flourish and Thrive (LIFT) through volunteerism. Volunteer opportunities included coaching at Jr. Kings Clinics, participating in Season of Doing Good Events, Read Across America, food distribution at local food banks, and more. The Kings also hosted a takeover-style day at 6 non-profits throughout the region in August, where employees painted rooms, gardened, built structures, helped prep for events, sorted and organized storage.
Math Hoops
The Sacramento Kings, in partnership with the Sacramento Bee, will launch its 5th season of Math Hoops to elementary, middle and after school programs in the Sacramento County. Math Hoops is a creative fun board game using current NBA players to enforce basic math skills and statistics to win. The program has grown to more than 99 classrooms and after school sites throughout Sacramento County. A Math Hoops March Madness tournament will be held with several teams at G1C in March and Math Hoops Final Four teams and teachers will be honored at a Kings home game in celebration of their efforts and success.

JR. Kings
Last year over 7,000 kids learned, developed and played basketball through our Jr. Kings programs. Through camps, clinics and leagues children ages 6 -14 developed their basketball skills, improved their physical fitness, developed self-confidence and had some fun. Using the best local and national trainers, current Kings fan favorites, Sacramento's youth had the opportunity to participate in year-round camps, clinics, and other special events. The Jr. Kings program aligned its programming with the Jr. NBA’s mission to teach the fundamentals of basketball and use the sport to instill core character values. Highlights from last year include the De’Aaron Fox Mother’s Day Clinic, the Buddy Hield Father’s Day Clinic, clinics at Cal Fit, a clinic on the brand new Classic Court before Fan Fest, clinics in Stockton for Stockton Kings, and the California Classic Clinic.
This season marks the third year of the Sacramento Kings Kids Club. The Kids Club Membership is $25 and includes a Kids Club branded lanyard, membership card, drawstring bag, Slamson hat, folder, a popcorn bucket with free refill, thundersticks, a free ticket to Kings game, free ice skating at ice rink on K Street, post-game free throw opportunities on Sundays and other activations. Signing up a youth for Kids Club will also offer the family opportunities for special announcements and access to youth programs, such as Jr. Kings clinics and special Kids Club promotions throughout the season.

OSCAR ROBERTSON TRIPLE-DOUBLE AWARD
Inaugurated in 2003, the Oscar Robertson Triple-Double Award is presented each season to a deserving Kings player who best exemplifies winning characteristics, both as an athlete and a conscientious citizen active in the community. Deconstructed, the “triple” signifies on-court accomplishments: team leader, embodies the spirit of sportsmanship and plays an outstanding all-around game. The “double” signifies his impact off the court by demonstrating a commitment to community service and family. Heralded as one of the finest players in NBA history, Oscar Robertson left an indelible impression on the league when he averaged a triple-double in 1961-62, posting an astounding 30.8 ppg, 12.8 rpg and 11.4 apg. The feat has not been duplicated since and remains one of the sport’s most elusive statistical achievements. Robertson finished his career with 181 career triple-doubles, 41 of which he logged during the historic '61-62 campaign, each NBA records. Following his playing days, the “Big O” has channeled his energies into a number of small business ventures while maintaining a robust involvement in the community. He is active in numerous philanthropic activities, including the International Prostate Cancer Foundation, the Boys Club of New York and the National Kidney Foundation, for whom he acts as an advocate for organ donation. Robertson and his wife Yvonne are co-chairs of the University of Cincinnati's $1 billion capital campaign and have also funded the Oscar and Yvonne Robertson Scholarship Fund at the University.

OSCAR ROBERTSON TRIPLE-DOUBLE AWARD
De’Aaron Fox Presented with the 2019 Oscar Robertson Triple-Double Award Temple Exemplifies Excellence on the Court and in the Community
De’Aaron Fox was awarded the Oscar Robertson Triple Double Award this year, signifying both on and off the court influence in leadership, sportsmanship, all-around game, community service and family. Fox has been a strong, vocal proponent of the importance of health with an emphasis on breast health awareness throughout his journey to the NBA in honor of his mother Lorraine Harris-Fox, an 18-year breast cancer survivor.
“I am honored to be presented with this award and am committed to continuing to use my platform to bring awareness to a cause that has impacted my family and so many others.”
In a world where words are dominant but actions are scarce, Fox has continuously shown willingness to take part in important efforts not only for the Sacramento community but for the society as a whole.
NBA Cares is the league's global social responsibility program that builds on the NBA's mission of addressing important social issues. The Sacramento Kings annually host the NBA’s only crowdsourced startup contest, Capitalize, creating a unique opportunity for local entrepreneurs and startups to share their innovative ideas and businesses. The fourth annual contest, which consisted of over 75 companies, concluded during Tech Night on April 4, where fans were shown the four finalists' pitch videos and voted for their favorite on Twitter. The expert panel of judges tallied their votes along with the fan vote and announced Japa Inc. as the winner of the Capitalize Grand Prize. Sacramento Kings owner and chairman, Vivek Ranadivé, presented Japa with a $10,000 check on center court.

INNOVATION & ESPORTS
The Sacramento Kings along with Golden 1 Center and Zippin announced a partnership to open the first in the world in-arena checkout-free convenience store for the 2019-20 season.
Zippin
“We are committed to leveraging technology to identify and deliver cutting-edge, innovative solutions that enhance the fan experience,” said Sacramento Kings Chairman and Governor Vivek Ranadivé.
“Banish the checkout line. That’s Zippin’s motto,” said CEO and Co-founder Krishna Motukuri. “I can’t think of a better place than a sports venue to eliminate the checkout line. Sacramento Kings fans will be able to walk in, grab a beer, and walk out in under 30 seconds.” Zippin uses AI technology with cameras and sensors to accurately identify who bought what as shoppers walk around the store shopping naturally. Using the award-winning dual mode Sacramento Kings + Golden 1 Center app and/or the Zippin app, fans and guests can visit the store, grab items off the shelves, and exit without waiting anywhere or scanning any items. In January 2020, the NBA recognized the Sacramento Kings with the NBA Team Innovation Award for their efforts in using technology to enhance the fan experience.
KINGS CRYPTOKAIJU
The Sacramento Kings announced the NBA’s first blockchain-powered reward program in collaboration with Blockparty. The Kings created a new reward program as an enhancement to the NBA’s first predictive gaming application, “Call the Shot,” in time for the 2019-20 Season. “We have only just begun to see the benefits of blockchain technology as it transforms the way business is conducted worldwide, ensuring secure transactions across multiple sectors and customers,” said Sacramento Kings Chairman, CEO and Governor Vivek Ranadivé. Blockparty is using blockchain technology to track Kings fans engagements and accumulate points in a virtual wallet within each fan’s Sacramento Kings + Golden 1 Center app. Kings fans using the “Call the Shot” gaming experience within the app can earn rewards based on these points. The rewards can be redeemed for prizes and unique events including signed merchandise and courtside tickets. Developed with Xperiel, “Call the Shot” is the first mobile offering from an NBA team that offers high-frequency predictive gaming to fans.
KINGS X BLOCKPARTY
“We are thrilled to bring these unique, limited-edition collectibles and immersive experience to our fans. We are always looking for ways to be on the leading-edge of enhancing fan interaction, and this partnership with CryptoKaiju is an exciting opportunity to continue to employ technology that delivers innovative products and content to our fans,” said Chief Technology Officer Ryan Montoya.
The Sacramento Kings collaborated with CryptoKaiju, creator of the world’s first vinyl toys powered by Ethereum and fully traceable on a public blockchain, to launch the first physical crypto-collectible in professional sports. Lucky fans have the opportunity to obtain one of the 100 limited-edition Kaiju toys throughout the 2019-2020 season. Each toy is backed by a non-fungible token, meaning that no two Kaijus are the same, and each will have their own unique descriptions and features, which can be traced on blockchain. On 15 rare toys, the non-fungible token will reveal a unique experience or prize including court side seats, VIP tours, signed Kings merchandise and more.
