Filing a claim shouldn’t be painful
Emily’s benefits story
Emily breaks her collar bone in a skiing accident and goes to the hospital. Emily knows she has short term disability with her employer, so a few days later she files a disability claim on Unum.com.
While processing the claim, the representative sees she is also eligible for benefits with her Unum accident and hospital policies. The rep starts two more claims for Emily.
Emily checks the status of her disability claim on the Unum mobile app and sees three claims pending. That’s when Emily remembers she had signed up for accident and hospital coverage.
Within a few days of submitting her claim, Emily receives payment for three benefits.
