Welcome to club culture, but you know, not that
club culture.
KIC is a holistic wellness company, fighting the good fight and cutting through the noise around toxic diet cultures, and for the next eight weeks, New Balance is getting behind their run club, KICrun. Here, runners can pace it up or down because it’s all about ‘running your way’. Get there on the right day and you might even find yourself wear-testing the latest NB running kit.
KIC Run Club x New Balance
Gozney Presents Proof Supper Club
Proof Supper Club is taking it global, bringing diners together over a fire-forward meal prepped and plated by some of the world’s hottest chefs. It’s an unadulterated celebration of food, plenty of well-paired wine, and of course the opportunity to fire up and have a crack at one of Gozney’s pizza ovens—they’re straight fire.
Rapha Cycling Club
At the heart of Rapha Cycling Club is community and you’ll find the camaraderie at Rapha’s clubhouses around the globe, on the club rides, and also on the RCC app that connects its members from Melbourne to Miami and everywhere in between. Members also get access to exclusive Rapha kit, a bonafide badge of honour in the biking world.
The Calile Hotel Book Club
Walking into the pastel-splashed Calile already makes you feel like you’re a part of something special, and that’s in part thanks to the little things—like their book club—where guests score a copy of the month’s read on their bedside table. On any given evening, you can pick up the conversation with fellow readers, overnighters, and weekenders alike, and if you’re lucky, you might even cross paths with the author. What’s good, Trent Dalton?
Lululemon's Sweatlife
You might have spotted one of their yoga sessions when passing by a Lululemon store before or after hours, but the beauty of Sweatlife is that you can get involved from anywhere in the world thanks to a resource-rich online hub full of yoga classes and running guides. Those keen to up the ante are invited to become ambassadors, flying the Lululemon flag with pride, wear-testing kit and sharing just how meaningful being a part of Sweatlife is.
Unfit Run Club x Hotel X
A run club for people of all abilities, members are encouraged—with a coffee or beer awaiting at the other end—to run anywhere between 1km-5km. Collaborating with Hotel X, their Wednesday afternoon runs aren’t just for the hotel guests but the entire community, where they aim to support and connect the locals and local businesses within Fortitude Valley. The best part? If running’s not your thing, you can beeline straight to that coffee, beer and conversation with the community.
In the glow-up of all glow-ups, once a word that would herald images of dusty rec halls, clubs have somehow—
impossibly—become the hottest scene in town.
In our digitally dominant era where the giants would have us believe that everything is easier behind a screen, the clubbers of 2024 are fighting back by revenge-socialising en masse and proving that the real magic still happens face-to-face.
IT’S HARD TO EXPLAIN THE EXACT FEELING OF MEETING A STRANGER THAT YOU RELATE TO AND CAN HAVE A GREAT CONVERSATION WITH. THE FEELING IS confidence, mixed with pride, validation and excitement. club sup is refreshing to people as it is the exact opposite to our hyper-curated lives, attending the club is in real time, real time offers

We may have reached fever pitch levels of run-club mania but the runners’ high isn’t going anywhere. As for book clubs, these aren't your grandma's tea-sipping, whispery gatherings anymore. The literary scene is getting a fresh coat of cool, thanks to Gen Z turning the page on the classic book club vibe while hot girl walking clubs, yoga clubs, pint and push bike clubs, movie clubs, podcast clubs, craft clubs and 6am surf clubs are all having their moment in the sun.
In 2024, clubs might be the new way to connect, date, get fit and socialise but let's not kid ourselves—they’re also about social currency. In a
society obsessed with the relentless pursuit of documentation and follower metrics, being part of the right club can be the ultimate flex and a whole new way to foster your culture creds.
And big business? They’re

only attaching themselves
to the club format but
launching clubs of their
own, too—enriching what
is traditionally an intimate
and grassroots experience.
In 2024, club culture is not just a
trend but a profound cultural shift,
inspiring us all to bask in the resurgence of community-oriented gatherings.
Once I started, I didn't stop going. I didn't know much about it before I started but once you get your foot in the door the community is amazing...
With lots of us ditching dating apps in favour of face-to-face flirts, singles around Australia are doubling down on the use cases for their membership.
Long-time parkrun member Nikki initially joined to make a few new pals while notching up some kms—little did she know she would start running with her soon-to-be husband.
Initially scrolling past each other on a dating app and spotting in their profile pics that they share the same run club, it wasn’t long before Nikki and Colin became a running duo at Highlands parkrun.
Almost seven years later, run by run, the rest is history. As a nod to their humble beginnings, Nikki and Colin even took a celebratory run around their home course as they tied the knot, right at parkrun where it all began.
With the people you're doing parkrun with each weekend, they become a bit like a family. It's a really welcoming community and parkrun has this philosophy that nobody comes last.

The definition of running has almost changed to "hanging out with your mates," with the exercise of running becoming an added bonus. Missing runs with the group induces a little FOMO because it's not just about
missing out on kilometres but also the camaraderie shared during the run.
