My hometown is inner city Melbourne, and I’m always uncovering new gems. I love the buzz around the hospitality industry—talented chefs are always opening new restaurants and bars, and it makes for such an exciting dining culture. The calender of events, whether it's sport, the theatre, international art or live music, makes this a fun place to live year-round.
Get a hit of nature at the Abbotsford Convent, take a breath in the beautiful gardens and then have a world-class meal at Cams Kiosk. It's a great break from the city rush. Drink coffee and have lunch at Napier Quarter in Fitzroy, a great spot to pull up with a book and watch the world go by.
Grab a sanga at Stefanino Panino in the Collingwood Yards, comfortably the best sandwich in Melbourne. Admire the original Keith Haring mural at the yards while you’re there. Take a dip and have a sauna at Inner Studio in Collingwood—a great spot for a low-key hangout with a friend.
Footy might take me across the country, but off the field, I’m all about discovering what makes a city tick. From coastlines to coffee culture, these are the places I keep coming back to—and the local spots you won’t want to miss.

TASMANIA
Tasmania has this incredible, rugged beauty that feels totally untouched. It’s the kind of place that forces you to slow down—in the best way. Whether I’m exploring, eating, or just getting lost in a gallery, there’s something really grounding about being here.
Start the day with a hike up kunanyi/Mount Wellington—it’s a solid workout and the views are next level. Refuel with a leisurely dinner at Dier Makr in Hobart—it’s unpretentious, but the dishes are seriously fire. For something more casual, grab pastries and coffee from Pigeon Whole Bakers. If you’ve got a few hours, MONA is a must. It’s immersive, weird, and unforgettable. Round it out with a natural wine at Sonny—a great vibe and good tunes.

ADELAIDE
Adelaide always stands out to me as a place that has its own thing going on—in a good way. It’s got this mix of heritage and innovation, especially when it comes to food and wine. There’s a calmness to it, but it still knows how to put on a show.
Kick things off at the Central Market—it’s buzzing with local produce and stories. Head to Leigh Street or Peel Street for coffee or a pre-dinner drink—both have a real energy to them. Grab lunch at Parwana Afghan Kitchen, a family-run spot with heart. If you’re heading out of town, the Adelaide Hills are unreal—cool-climate wine, good food, and scenic drives.

SUNSHINE COAST
The Sunny Coast is my go-to for switching off and getting into nature. It’s relaxed, it’s beautiful, and there’s no shortage of spots for a swim or a surf. The local food scene is also having a bit of a moment, which is always a bonus.
Hit the water early at Noosa Main Beach or paddle the calmer side of the river if you’re into SUP. Grab breakfast at Moto—it’s low-key but always nails the coffee. Walk the Noosa National Park trail, a 10km coastal walk, and finish with a dip at Tea Tree Bay. For dinner, try Sum Yung Guys—modern Asian with a big personality. And if you’re around on a Sunday, the Peregian Beach Markets are a great way to soak up the local energy.
