I
and 2000s. Prior to being at Comcast Business, I was the chairman and CEO of a company that pioneered software-defined networking andsecure networking as a managed service.
In 2021, Comcast Business acquired my company. Initially, I stayed on just to assist with the integration, but I found that my company was such a meaningful component to Comcast Business’s long-term enterprise solutions portfolio, and I shifted into being the chief development officer for all of Comcast Business. I’m focused on the medium and long-term strategy for all of Comcast Business. I'm responsible for the customer experience for all of our customers.
There's never a dull day. 30 years into my career, I can say with confidence: This is one of the most consequential periods in modern business history. We all learned how to work in a hybrid environment, especially the knowledge worker universe. That created a challenge for those of us who connect organizations from a network standpoint and help them protect their intellectual property, their systems, their data, and their people. And then right on the tail of that, we saw powerful new AI capabilities begin reshaping enterprise operations at every level.
This is where continuous intelligence comes into play: an operating posture that flows across every function, every decision, and every threat. It’s the ability to keep insights moving — turning signals into decisions and decisions into action — without losing context, momentum, or trust, especially as work crosses teams and platforms.
I see everything speeding up. As things become more automated, it's important to make sure that the underlying infrastructure — your network and the advanced services that sit on top of that infrastructure — all think, connect, and are secure. Most enterprises, including Fortune 100 companies, need to obtain managed services for this in order to move in a more agile way.
One of the things that is paramount for Comcast Business is: How do we continue to provide our solutions roadmap for our customers so they can move faster than they have over the last decade? We bring deep expertise where it matters most: helping enterprises detect and respond to threats and strengthening their cybersecurity operations.
I'm a serial entrepreneur. I started my first company while attending the University of Texas at Arlington. I went on to have a handful of successful startups through the late ’90s

We are only beginning this broader AI evolution that's going to have a profound impact on every business, no matter what they do and how they serve their customers. When you look forward 10 years from now, what can feel like science fiction today can define the enterprise of tomorrow. We’re going to figure out how to leverage AI in a way that helps employees, businesses, and the customers that they serve, especially in certain key verticals like life sciences and biotech. We're just beginning to see all these amazing advancements — things that we think will look a little bit like science fiction will all become reality.
Helping people, especially leaders and managers, grow and supporting their endeavors while entrusting them with the autonomy and authority to lead is absolutely critical.

The real potential the current moment promises is in applying AI across enterprise workflows — unlocking the ability to leverage data at a scale and speed most organizations have never had access to before. Historically, enterprises worked with fragments of this potential, relying on human analysts to process data as it arrived. Today, analysis that once took days or weeks can happen in near real time. The speed in which we can take data, translate it into knowledge, and then translate this knowledge into action to drive better outcomes for our customers is the new litmus test for every business. It’s an exciting time — and Comcast Business is playing a meaningful role in it.
I encourage leaders to be incredibly curious and continue to learn, especially given the relentless pace of innovation. And I encourage leaders to pursue knowledge relevant to how their career and organization must evolve — focusing on technologies that drive meaningful outcomes. Helping people, especially leaders and managers, grow and supporting their endeavors while entrusting them with the autonomy and authority to lead is absolutely critical.
