After completing Modern Apprenticeship, if you decide that industry isn't for you, that's OK! You still come out ahead with relevant work experience and more experience to inform your next step in your career journey.

Any high school sophomore who is on track to graduate, has parental permission, and is eligible to work in the United States. Please confer with your high school to determine if you are on track to graduate. The Modern Apprenticeship team can work with you to make sure you have time in your schedule during your junior and senior year to participate in the program. There are a limited amount of Modern Apprenticeship opportunities available, so if you are interested, reach out today to learn more.
What are the requirements to enroll in Modern Apprenticeship?
Absolutely! Modern Apprenticeship complements students’ other interests and teaches them the responsibility of balancing work, school, and hobbies. In the first year, apprentices spend approximately 12-16 hours per week at their employer. In the second year, apprentices spend approximately 20-24 hours per week at their employer. Many of those hours fall during the typical school day. Because apprentices will typically spend a portion of the day in school, they retain the core elements of the high school experience, including their social connections.
Can I be an apprentice and still participate in sports and other extracurricular activities?
One of the most exciting things about Modern Apprenticeship is the list of employers that participate. You can choose from roles in business operations, information technology, healthcare, financial services, or advanced manufacturing.
