At an underground mining project, we led a transformation that integrated plant and concentrator automation, clear safety systems, and autonomous fleet collision awareness. Many mining operations face delays and risks when systems operate in isolation. Designed to support production of 600,000 tpa of copper and 500,000 ounces of gold annually, our approach ensures a fully connected operation from the start.

Simplification through integration

From the start, we focused on combining different technologies into a simple unified system. We upgraded the mine’s control room with modern tools that guide daily operations, ensuring safety and efficiency. This streamlined approach keeps the ore processing facility running while reducing complexity and risk.

Enhancing safety with better equipment monitoring

People safety comes first. With nearly 70 percent of mining incidents linked to moving equipment, we partnered with experts to develop a comprehensive collision awareness program. Through clear guidelines, hands-on support, and rigorous testing – including readiness materials and extensive trials – we helped reduce vehicle related accidents.

Strengthening communications in challenging conditions

Underground environments challenge connectivity. We built a robust wireless network that supports everything from handheld devices to automated equipment. By leveraging LTE/4G, 5G, and digital radio, we enable real-time data sharing and seamless coordination even in the toughest conditions.
