Warrior Care Network® is offered through four world-class academic medical centers that provide care tailored to each warrior's needs. Studies show that participants have significantly improved PTSD and depression symptoms after completing the program. Warrior Care Network services are provided at no cost, and financial assistance is available to cover expenses like groceries and housing.
Veterans reconnect with a sense of purpose through Project Odyssey®. Project Odyssey combines adventure-based activities, goal setting, and mental health workshops to restore resiliency, coping, and communication skills for veterans. Warriors will forge bonds, overcome challenges, and achieve goals with fellow veterans while hiking, mountain biking, rock climbing, snowboarding, and more as they work together to reach their potential.
We're just a phone call away when veterans need to talk with someone. The friendly voice on the other end of the line is there to coach, support, clarify goals, and help find ways to reach them. WWP Talk can be a valuable resource for warriors and family members feeling isolated and depressed. If you're a veteran or caregiver feeling overwhelmed, you're not alone because we're here to listen.
WWP's multi-week coaching program helps warriors build a foundation for a healthier life. Coaching sessions motivate and guide warriors toward improving their physical and mental wellness. Through coach feedback, warriors are empowered to identify and pursue goals, maintain an active lifestyle, and follow nutritional habits supporting their long-term health. Monthly Fitness and Wellness challenges offer extra motivation to stay on track.
Warriors are there with each other, mile after mile and day after day, during WWP's Soldier Ride®. Veterans find strength in numbers through biking, snowboarding, virtual events, and other shared journeys where they can encourage one another. Soldier Ride is about boosting confidence while harnessing strength, skill, and perseverance to get to the finish line with fellow warriors.
WWP's Adaptive Sports program empowers wounded warriors to reach their full potential. Specialized sports clinics provide equipment and training as warriors develop athletic skills based on their abilities. As each warrior improves their adaptive skills and overall physical fitness, they're encouraged and inspired to move on to the next level of the program. Adaptive sporting events also offer opportunities to connect with fellow veterans with shared experiences and interests.
Warriors to Work® provides the resources to help warriors transfer the skills they learned in the military to civilian careers. Through networking opportunities, career counseling, resume writing tips, and other job search assistance, we help veterans find meaningful employment and feel empowered to reach their highest career ambitions. We also partner with employers to connect them with veterans resulting in strong employer/employee relationships.
Veterans can get the tools to put themselves on a solid financial footing through WWP's Financial Education program. With seminars, one-on-one counseling, and online resources, we help veterans create a strategy to take charge of their current and future finances. Whether drawing up a budget for today, saving for tomorrow, or tackling debt over the long term, we are here to support you during every step of your financial journey.
WWP advocates to ensure injured veterans receive the benefits they earned in a manner that honors their service. Our Benefits Services team helps explain to veterans and their families what benefit options are available to them — and works to ensure they get them so that warriors can focus less on red tape and more on their recovery journey.
Warriors are there for fellow warriors through WWP Peer Support Groups located throughout the United States. Dedicated to listening to and helping each other, a peer support group can ease the transition back to civilian life by connecting veterans with other warriors who know what they’re going through.
Each veteran and family served by WWP becomes part of our community of Alumni who support each other. Join family events with other veterans, add fellow warriors to your professional network, or head outside for recreational activities with other WWP Alumni. Through the Alumni Connection Program, warriors build camaraderie and draw strength from fellow service members who understand what it's like to transition back to civilian life.
Continuous Care Services are offered to help warriors in the Independence Program prepare for the future by providing no-cost professional estate and financial planning services. Continuous Care Services ensure that warriors have the economic means to live as independently as possible. Beginning with a comprehensive life-care plan, our team works with Independence Program warriors and caregivers to build a pathway to the future ensuring that the legal documents are in place to execute the desired long-term care and financial plan.
WWP helps catastrophically wounded warriors live independently by providing community support services, home health care, art and equine therapies, mental health programs, and other assistance to meet their needs for years to come. Caregivers access peer support and therapist services while WWP, veterans, and their families work together to help warriors achieve independence and stay active in their community.
The WWP Resource Center is where many veterans and families take the first steps on their journey with WWP. Our team here at the center is ready to welcome, listen to, and connect veterans with programs that can help. We answer their questions, connect them with community resources, and provide referrals for WWP programs and services.
WWP's Government Affairs team advocates for laws, legislation, and programs that support our warriors and families on their journey following military service. WWP amplifies the voices of over 236,000 Alumni and family members in the halls of Congress and beyond as we fight for improved access to VA benefits, mental health programs, traumatic brain injury research, and many other initiatives that address the urgent needs of those who've served.
