UCLA Health Operation Mend treats the invisible wounds of war through personalized and family-integrated care.
Their multidisciplinary team of specialists uses a holistic wraparound approach to care by combining traditional therapy with nontraditional treatments like acupuncture and equine therapy. Comprehensive care management, care coordination, and social support for veterans and their families are also provided to help eliminate the barriers to getting this life-changing care.
Their program is the only intensive outpatient program in the country that includes caregivers alongside their veterans as fully integrated participants. Their unique Buddy Program offers social support during treatment and a break from the hard work towards healing.
