CHCCS has 20 schools (11 elementary schools, four middle schools, three traditional high schools, one alternative high school, and a school at UNC Hospital for youth being treated there). We believe that every child deserves the best education, excellent teachers ignite learning, and high quality education is fundamental to a vibrant community. PSF’s mission is to provide additional funding for innovative programs and projects that advance teacher development and student achievement, particularly for students of color, economically-disadvantaged students, multilingual learners, and students with disabilities. Hispanic Liaison of Chatham County Service Area: Chatham Category: Responsive Grantmaking Website: evhnc.org Amount Awarded: $20,000 Our Story: El Vínculo Hispano (EVH) was one of the first Latine-led organizations in North Carolina, and this year, we are celebrating our 30th anniversary. Our mission is to foster intercultural understanding and to empower Latines to overcome the challenges they face and make their voices heard in the community. We accomplish this through advocacy, organizing, leadership development, civic engagement, direct services, and cultural celebrations. The farm also provides support for the Wake County Karen Community and is situated on a legacy farm that dates back to 1818. Vision: An empowered Karen Community, whose members preserve their culture through farming, food, education, traditions, and connections. Values: Our community work honors the history, place, community voices and all perspectives of members involved in the KCF farming community. Work to create food equity in a marginalized community that has more barriers to accessing food that aligns culturally with the Karen culture and heritage. Guided by a vision of inclusive, community-based support, XDS empowers people with multiple disabilities to achieve stability, responsibility, and improved quality of life. Vision: XDS’s vision is a North Carolina where every person with a serious mental illness or disability—regardless of age, background, or circumstance—has access to trauma-informed, community-rooted supports that empower long-term well-being and belonging. In partnership with the Center for Community Connection (C4CC), XDS is expanding to youth ages 12 to 26—the most critical window for prevention—when early support can change the course of a life. TWC's long-term goal is to ensure that homelessness for single women is brief, rare, & non-recurring. By providing the most essential, yet basic needs for our guests, they are equipped to begin working towards permanent housing with our program & housing staff. We rely on innovation to bring new and unique solutions to address one of our community's most challenging problems: homelessness.

Triangle Artworks Service Area: Chatham, Durham, Orange, and Wake County Category: Responsive Grantmaking Website: triangleartworks.org Amount Awarded: $20,000 Our Story: Our mission is to provide the services, support and resources necessary to cultivate and ensure a thriving arts community in the Triangle region of North Carolina. The arts impact the economy, culture, history, vibrancy and quality of life in this region. Despite this, before TAW launched, no organization focused solely on what the arts needed to thrive as a business sector, and the sector needed help. Many artists struggle to make a living, while nonprofit employees are seeing record levels of burnout and feel disconnected and unsupported. A workforce that is struggling financially and feeling unsupported cannot thrive. TAW builds programs, resources and services to meet these business needs and a platform to build power and presence for the sector. Our programs meet their business challenges, including emotional needs, while respecting their work and time. Our platform and community connections allow us to be nimble and respond to the rapidly changing business needs of this sector.
