The foundation of converting prospects into members is having a follow-up process in place for contacting missed sales prospects on a consistent cadence. Set tasks for Intro Missed Sale using the Contact Cadence Chart of Day 1, 3, 5, 7. These CALLS should start with a customer service approach and then transition into offering a membership that would be in line with their goals.

Personalize the Experience: Review all prospect O.M.G.’s before the Intro Class to make them feel welcome and valued the second they step foot into the studio! Make it a point to continue to the conversation and build that relationship at every step of the process. Intro Success: Start the Intro confirmation process at a minimum of three days before their class! The Club Pilates Kamloops Team connects with prospects to continue talking about their goals and establish what the expectations of the class are, as well as build value around how Club Pilates will better their life! Staff are ALWAYS Learning: Ensure that the team is well-trained on overcoming any objections by understanding how Club Pilates offers solutions for their problems and helps them to reach their emotional goal(s)!

REFERRALS: Always ask for referrals from members, offer raffles, and even offer gift cards once the prospects join! It never hurts to ask, and consistency is key! The product we’re selling is inherently good and members can feel great about referring Club Pilates to their loved ones! Retention with Community: Building a sense of community within the studio is the crucial to member retention! The Club Pilates Kamloops Team are consistent about contacting their members to follow up on those O.M.G. goals, following up with our frozen members, and letting them know they are here for THEM. Congratulations to Club Pilates Kamloops, Canada!
We wanted to take a moment to Shout out to the Club Pilates Brea Team for welcoming nearly 50 new members in July, when the boutique fitness industry typically experiences a decrease in sales! We asked them to share some best practices for their increased show rate, and membership! “In June we saw an increase in younger prospects booking into our Intro class who were not interested in a membership. So when reaching out to our leads in July we shifted gears a bit and instead of presenting the Intro class as a FREE Intro, we started positioning it as a 'Membership-based Intro class.' By changing the messaging, we found that we were able to get more QUALITY bookings, vs simply QUANTITY. We let them know that, in addition to movement during the Intro, we would review membership options and then help set them up with the best membership for their individual goals and needs. If they sounded weary about purchasing membership, we recommended trying our single class drop in to try us out, so they could focus on experiencing the full workout. Presenting our Intro class this way has led to a higher conversion because we are booking clients that truly want to get started on their fitness journey with us, rather than just try a free class one time.” Mikayla also shouted out her calls with her Regional Sales Manager, Jada-Rae Poku, as an additional resource to help suggest best practices for working the leads, and helping the studio grow. Way to go, CP Brea, on your fantastic work during the dead of summer!

“We created an Eventbrite and followed up with making a fun email and set it to blast out every 4-5 days before the event. We also included fun photos from the last mat class, and announced the event in studio and our social media frequently before the event.
We created a referral type to help track the ROI on the event - and make sure that sales associates and instructors alike are talking about the event in all classes to all members!
One of the best practices: Make sure to enter your leads in from the event RIGHT AWAY! It is never too soon to start reaching out. Immediately make a specific text, send it out and start them in the text/call cadence.”

The West Temple Team was able to bring in just under $5,000 in retail sales alone! This was due to a well-executed strategy. When finding out what helped them reach their success, Holly (GM) mentioned, “My team loves a sales contest! It is such a driving force for them!” In order to set themselves up for success, the team, merchandised fresh new retail and made sure the boutique area was well displayed. They used creativity to change up the layout for a different look. Some of the sales associates even shared their contest with members who wanted to support and bought more retail! Although it was a team effort, the sales manager really brought it home with her performance! Holly chose to reward her team for their accomplishments with a gift card!

Our new Anatomy course has launched! This will be shared with all new students who enroll from July 1, 2023 forward and for students who started programs in January 1, 2023-June 30th 2023 that opt into this updated content. This new and robust course will help Teacher Training students better learn anatomy which is key for all new Pilates instructors. Moving forward, all participants will need to complete this course and anatomy exemptions will no longer be an option. Students will have access to the course for one year only, starting from the date of enrollment in the Teacher Training program. Extensions will not be available for this course. To further support the Teacher Training students from the Corporate side, we’ve created a series of eight emails that will be sent throughout the year they’re enrolled in Teacher Training, following the start of their in-studio training days. These emails contain reminders about hours, best practices to get to graduation, and motivational elements to help students stay focused on the finish line. These emails contain general information about the program, which is why it’s equally important that the studio also implement a support plan on their end to provide a third layer of communication (in addition to the mentorship provided by their Master Trainer). New Lead Instructor Workshop! Our next Club Pilates Instructor Workshop is here! This workshop is called: “Center & Balance for all Levels!” Bringing the Mind-Body connection into harmony, Center and Balance flows are the perfect class to de-stress, breathe deeply and stretch delightfully. This workshop lays out level appropriate exercises and appropriate stretches including PNF stretching techniques. It focuses on the importance and benefits of breathing and why working in the parasympathetic nervous system is important. This workshop is great for all instructors who currently teach or will teach Center + Balanced classes at Club Pilates!

We welcomed FIVE new Master Trainers to the active Master Trainer roster after our first Onboard Training Day of 2023. As a reminder, we updated our Master Trainer Candidate process this year, making it easier to start the process and join the team throughout the year rather than just once a year. Our next Onboard Training Day is November 16 and Candidates will need to have completed ALL STEPS leading up to the Onboard Training Day in order to register. Our New Bridge Training Course is launching this month! What’s new in this course? New course layout and design 56 new videos that cover all Club Pilates classes, levels, protocol, and information for working as an instructor at a Club Pilates studio. 77 new videos to learn TRX, TriggerPoint, and Functional Standing Movement (FSM) which allow comprehensive instructors to lead CP Suspend, CP Restore, and CP Control classes. New way to track employee progress through the course and support as a Franchise Owner. Bridge Training is mandatory instructor employee on-board training for all Junior and Comprehensive instructors that work for Club Pilates. It ensures that regardless of where an instructor received their education, they know how to adhere to the Club Pilates methodology and teach according to our brand standards and guidelines.

Apprentice instructors will not go through Bridge Training until they complete their education, however they can be added to The Powerhouse as an “Apprentice Instructor” position and will receive access to pertinent materials that will aid them in their success as an apprentice until they officially graduate from the Club Pilates Teacher Training program.

For studios in pre-sale, all instructors must complete Bridge Training prior to Soft Open. For sustaining studios, instructors must complete Bridge Training within 30 days of hire. WHAT TO EXPECT FROM BRIDGE TRAINING

Completion of the Bridge Training course in The Powerhouse, which includes all modules, quizzes, and final test. The instructor must score 80% or above in order to pass and has two attempts to do so. Completion of the Practical Test Out video, which will be reviewed and evaluated by a Club Pilates Master Trainer. The instructor will teach a full 50-minute Club Pilates class that will be filmed and submitted to the Corporate office.
Bridge Training is comprised of 2 components:
Understand the Club Pilates mission, culture, and brand standards Teach a safe, flowing, mixed level, large group apparatus class Program and teach all Club Pilates signature classes at every level (or Levels 1 and 1.5 for junior instructors) Teach an effective Intro Class Complete Private Training Assessments
After Bridge Training, an instructor will be able to:
The Bridge Training course in The Powerhouse is progressive, meaning instructors will need to complete each module before moving onto the next. All material must be viewed and the quiz passed before moving onto the next module. Quizzes within the modules allow between 5-10 attempts and must be passed at 100%. Any work completed will be saved so the next time they login they can pick up where they left off. It's estimated that completing all components of Bridge Training will take an instructor 9-12 hours on average. Instructors have access to a corporate Master Trainer at any point throughout their 30 days of being in the course. Should any questions arise throughout this process, or to set up a call with a corporate Master Trainer, please email bridgetraining@clubpilates.com. After their 30 days, any bridge-related questions should be directed to your studio's Lead Instructor.

As part of our initiative to help students set and stick to their personal graduation goal, we’ve updated the process for Goal Setting that coincides with Day 3 of the in-studio days. Setting their graduation goal will now be an assignment that they complete within Canvas and continue to update throughout their Teacher Training program. This goal setting structure will further support the student, studio and Master Trainer, ensuring they successfully meet their graduation timeline.

2023 Candidate Process
Updates to the Master Trainer Candidate process have been updated HERE in The Powerhouse. Specific changes to the process include:
- A Candidate’s NPCP certification must be completed and current in order for the studio to submit their referral. - Candidates must be employed at your studio for at least six months in order to refer them. - Candidates will be issued a Canvas account to follow the process and submit their application, audition video, take quizzes, etc. - Parts of the application process are graded and must be passed in order to audit a training. - Auditing is not permitted until all prior steps are completed. Any audit days completed prior to the completion of the initial steps will not qualify. - The test out process and lectures from Summit are now separate items in the process. - Candidates must pass their test outs first in order to attend an Onboard Training Day. Candidates only receive two attempts to pass their test outs. - Summit is now called Onboard Training Day and will be a one-day training that occurs three times a year, which means more opportunities for your candidates to join the team!
