Two college brothers borrow $600 from their mother to open the first-ever Pizza Hut Restaurant in Wichita, Kansas. The menu consists of beer, soft drinks and what has now become Thin ‘N Crispy pizza.

Glen Bell opens the first Taco Bell “mission style” restaurant in Downey, California, serving up what his customers call “Tay-Kohs.”
