Parenting At Littler (PALS)
Parenting at Littler (PALs) was launched in January 2020 to address the unique challenges parents and caregivers face while balancing their careers and caregiving responsibilities. The onset of the COVID-19 pandemic soon after made these challenges even more pronounced and helped to raise awareness of the issues caregivers face. PALs ensures that the firm’s culture and practices empower attorneys with caregiving responsibilities, helping them continue advancing in their legal careers.
Littler provides a comprehensive set of programs to address the needs and daily challenges of working parents and caregivers while fostering a positive culture around working families. PALs offers nearly a dozen support groups based on children's ages and developmental needs. These groups provide parents and caregivers with guidance and encouragement from colleagues. They often feature guest speakers who discuss navigating benefits, obtaining support,
and career advancement. Other resources supported by PALs includes webinars, facilitated discussions and a mentoring program.
Collaborating with Littler’s Benefits team, PALs helps share information
about available parenting and caregiving resources, including maintaining
a comprehensive list of parenting and caregiving related benefits on the
firm’s intranet.
