ZS has met our clients where they are for over 40 years
Before we opened ZS’s first European office, we had to travel across the Atlantic to work with our clients based overseas. Small teams of fewer than 20 consultants staffed these first offices, by serving the ultra-specific needs of locally based clients. 40 years later, our presence in Europe has grown to align with the firm’s global mission while still responding to the needs of our local markets.

1990-2010
With our European roots settled, ZS’s vision through 2030 is focused on delivering impact to global healthcare organizations with headquarters in Europe. Our expanding team of deep experts across strategy, analytics and technology use next-generation data and AI to achieve greater insights and improve healthcare across the entire ecosystem.
2011-2020
By the mid-2000s, ZS Europe developed its business and vision into a single, unified focus on data-informed biotech and pharma solutions. Working together and sharing ideas between offices, our team grew in numbers, skills and backgrounds to bring a diversity of thought to our global mission.

Our original ZS European roots were close to our clients so we could serve them using our domain expertise in tech, sales force alignment and mergers and acquisitions.

We’re focused on global solutions, with our innovation engine and expertise centers developing new ideas to bring to our clients everyday.
At the end of the day, if I come back to our purpose, we love solving complex problems. And the more different backgrounds of people you have to help you solve those, the better odds you get.
Proximity to clients, being able to be with
them on daily basis, listen to what’s on their
minds and understand how they operate.
I think that’s valuable.

Back in those days we all traveled a lot. Everyone was traveling. We would go from city to city all over the European continent.
I think what was fun and challenging about it was we had a very small team and we had a lot of countries to cover within Europe.

A lot of the constructs we have today
have evolved. It was a group of experts
for hire, that’s what it was.
I don’t think I can remember a project where the entire project was staffed out of one office. It’s always been cross-office.
By having a large team in London, which is exciting to see, you have all these different nationalities working together with all of their expertise.

Europe is a critical growth driver for ZS,
and we expect our impact in EMEA to
continue growing faster than the rest of
the firm.
If you want to drive change down to the operations of your company, work with ZS. I think it’s going to be really important for us to have a local presence around the world to help our clients with that.

If you ask me for one critical move, it was to change our geography-focused strategy to an account-based strategy.
